While the Amtrak train passes through periodically, it’s simply part of the San Clemente beach experience. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I’ll definitely be returning.'

'Excellent experience all around, I booked this stay originally for one night but enjoyed it so much just within a couple hours I inquired with the front desk about adding another night, they were very accommodating and even though our original room wasn’t available for another night we were able to upgrade to another. The rooms were so clean and spacious, the location is beautiful and has so many wonderful dining options as well as access to some scenic walks on the beach!! I really look forward...

'Great stay! We stayed in 2 king bed rooms that looked like they were recently remodeled and they were in excellent condition. Both had hot tubs with jets and a shower (mine was combined, the other room was a separate shower and tub). The rooms also had a futon which was nice. The hotel included breakfast pastries, muffins, yogurt, coffee, and juice. The drinks were available all day. The outside space has a fire pit that we sat around the first night and it was nice to have snacks available....

'turns out the Surfbreak's got a sister spot tucked away at 2001 South El Camino Real, right on the quieter stretch of the old mission road, just a quick hop from the pier and T-Street but with that vintage SoCal motel soul. I crashed here for three nights in October during a south swell chase, and while it's no glossy Avenida Del Mar reboot, it's got heart, history, and enough beach access to keep the stoke alive.
