The gardens of Versailles are said to be one of the most majestic, but I was a bit disappointed. The fountains were not on but at a certain times, and there was a construction site in the middle of the lawn area (as can be seen in this picture) I'm sure the experience could have been better, if it hadn't been as poor timing as ours.
