'Southern charm, historic, with great hospitality. Staff was helpful, courteous and friendly. Each floor had it's own history from its founding to the Civil War and beyond. Rooms had some original features along with modern bathrooms and amenities. Full complimentary breakfasts and late afternoon wine and cheese offerings. I highly recommend The Marshall House. '

'The room is super clean and the staff is very friendly. The only thing is the beach (Coligny) is about 2 miles away. We have to drive to get to it. I suppose you can walk but will take you about an hour. Other than that, the hotel is perfect. I love the Thai restaurant that is right across the street.'

'The room was clean and large! My favorite part of the stay was the reception area and the staff! I highly recommend this hotel for it's accommodating welcome. It's not just for retro lovers, it is close to all modes of public transportation. It is within walking distance to the Riverfront, great for the going's on at the enMarket arena. The city provides a bus service from near the civic auditorium to the arena for only $5 round trip (Jan 2026). The donuts at the reception area are included in...
