'Hall's Creek Retreat is a lovely place to stay while in the Black River Falls area. The cabin is clean, comfortable and well-maintained. It is a spacious, forested area with Hall's Creek nearby and easy access to other water sites. It's a wonderful area to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities in the Black River State Forest'

'We stayed with our kids and grandkids to celebrate our 31st anniversary! This place was absolutely perfect, with everything we needed. The location for ranger riding was perfect and there was plenty of room for three trucks and trailers along with other vehicles. It was also wonderful that our kids could bring their two dogs as well. Plenty of room for all of us and the fire pit is amazing!!! We will most definitely be back. '

'We had a great stay at this cabin! Great location and close to many UTV/ATV trails. The cabin was clean, well equipped and has a very well, thought-out design. Ample parking for multiple trucks and trailers. The host was super accommodating and very quick to respond to emails. I asked if we could check in early our first day and he happily let us, which was a perfect start to the weekend. We definitely recommend staying here, and this will be my first choice for accommodations when we come back...

'I am a teacher and brought a group of high schoolers who serve on a leadership team to complete their training for the upcoming school year! This was a great place to do that with ample space for sleeping and a roomy living space.'

'We had a wedding in the area and needed a place closer to the venue than the hotels. The step into the cabin is a little unsafe we found if you put a white rug there instead of a black one it’ll help you remember where the floor is at . And the stairs to The bedrooms in the basement were made of timber framing that looked unique, but weren’t user-friendly . I don’t mean to beat it up too bad it is what it is. It’s a cabin. we did cut our stay there short'

'We had high expectations, and this home exceeded those! We had 6 adults and 10 kids, aged 2-12 and they were constantly busy and having a great time- skating, playing arcade games, fishing nearby, basketball and putting tee right outside. Jeff and Bunny were amazing hosts, and responded promptly with any of our questions. Everything was very clean. Our two- year old could run around, and being such a nice open space, we never had to worry where he was. We already booked for next year:)'

'This place is just beautiful. While the size is listed as only 600 square feet, it actually feels much bigger because of the loft/second floor. The setting is in some lovely pine trees, and it is quiet and peaceful. A perfect spot for a couple of introverts like us to just be. Thanks!'
