Our family loved our stay in this quaint little cabin. Sitting amidst beautiful ranch land, at the base of the Tobacco Root Mountains, we got a taste of what Montana is really like. The cabin had all the necessaries and was close to amazing fishing and some hot springs as well. The owners were super friendly and accommodating too. Highly recommend!
We were out to the area looking for future land for our home and this adorable cabin was absolutely the best location for our stay. It encompasses the real feel of Montana, had all the amenities needed, the location was central to everything, and our hosts were wonderful. We canât wait to go back to visit again. Thank you for everything
Sharon and Gene have a sweet little gem out in a beautiful area of Whitehall/Waterloo, MT! The cabin was very clean and well-equipped! Very cozy and comfortable. It's a very quiet area (aside from the fact that there were some 4th of July fireworks, to be expected)) and the neighborhood is very friendly! About a 20-minute drive into the town of Whitehall for supplies and/or food. Lots of cool side roads to explore and photograph. Highly recommend this property...very kind owners! Thank you!
Our stay at this cabin was wonderful. The cabin is very comfortable and well equipped for visitors. We especially appreciated all the supplies necessary to build fires in the wood stove. We highly recommend this property.
We loved this property so much! The sheep were adorable, the dogs were so cute and friendly. The cabin itself was so cozy and cute! It was stocked full of things we didnât even realize we would need, the owners definitely set it up to leave you needing for practically nothing.
I have stayed in 3 rentals this summer. This is far and away the best. Quaint , clean little cabin on well maintained lot in a quiet rural setting. The property owners are on Site, and super nice, super friendly. I wanted for nothing and if I had a request they saw to it. I hope to be back next year for another extended stay.
Located in the heart of the beautiful Jefferson River Valley, this comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully furnished cabin was exactly what we were hoping for. One of the original buildings on a small ranch, it's been totally upgraded by the property owners/residents. We especially enjoyed getting acquainted with our host Gene and his two canine helpers, Callie and Jack. Gene was careful to respect our privacy, but we found him to be a master storyteller, once we got him started. We will make this our place to stay whenever we are in the area, looking for a territorial view of the Tobacco Root Mountains out of our windows. .
This cabin in the small town of Waterloo was great resting spot for my son and I as we explored Montana. The cabin was extremely clean and had all the essentials. Itâs in a very quiet community too. Great access to fishing, horse back riding, and trails. Property was immaculate. Canât thank the owners and neighbors enough for their hospitailty.
Yes, the listing says "Whitehall" but this lovely little cabin is near Waterloo, which apparently is a sign along the railroad with several active, expansive farms nearby. We loved our time hiking nearby and breathing the fresh MT air. We were greeted night #1 by a beautiful rainbow followed by a spectacular sunset. The cabin had everything a couple could want, even a TV with about 5 channels, that mostly went untouched. Even when the temp climbed into the upper 80's, the evenings quickly cooled the cabin, assisted by surrounding windows. We used the small propane grill each night and then sat on the porch to enjoy the serenity of the surroundings.
Sharon (husband was out on a "packing" trip with a few friends & their mules) was absolutely lovely - always friendly and interesting; never, ever intrusive. We would love to return in the future and relive this magical stay.
Cheers, Mark & Pam
What a place! Itâs perfectly adorned with the decor and amenities to make your stay most pleasant. Between the wood stove, rockers, front porch and lofted bed, you couldnât ask for more. The views are stunning and the area is perfect for an early morning coffee walk or evening wind down. We loved the week we spent here and will certainly visit next time we are in Montana!
This was an absolutely charming cabin in a unique farm community setting. Walking down the surrounding dirt roads, we were warmly greeted by all the neighbors and we quickly felt like one of the community. There is not a lot to do in the immediate area, but world class fishing and hiking within a very few miles. We would love to go back on a yearly basis just to relax.
We spend over 3 weeks in this cabin. The cabin has everything you could ask for from laundromat to a wood fireplace. The owner lives really close in case you need any help. We spend a lot of time fishing (there are a lot of rivers in the area and Jefferson river is a mile away) and visiting the national parks (Yellowstone is only 2 hours away). All together a great stay. Definitely recommend it!
The cabin is well furnished, clean and very comfortable. We met one of the owners. He was very gracious and helpful. The property manager also checked in to make sure everything was ok and satisfactory. The view of the mountains and night sky is spectacular. Traveling the roads in the morning we saw many deer and some pheasants. The property is out in the country in a quiet area.
We would recommend it if you are in the Whitehall area.
