Our time at Little Bear (Whitepine Getaway) near the Porcupine Mountains was simply wonderful! We loved how perfectly situated it was for all our adventures â hiking, kayaking, UTV/ATV, and Rock hunting. It truly is a quiet and peaceful escape, providing the much-needed rest and relaxation we craved after exploring. Plus, the hosts were exceptional!! A truly positive and rejuvenating experience.
Great place to stay for snowmobiling. We were able to park two trailers in the lot for the three of us. Nice place for 3 people and very close to the trails. Would highly recommend for a small group.
Plenty of room for parking. We had two trucks and two trailers (1 two place trailer & 1 four place trailer) and they fit in the driveway no problem with room to spare. Perfect place for 3 or 4 people. House had everything we needed, driveway was clear when we arrived and the house was very clean and tidy.
Loved the cozy place. Plenty to do around the area. The owner was excellent to deal with. My dog also loved the stay. If im looking for a place to stay around the porcupine mountains again id stay here.
Absolutely outstanding stay at Little Bear #5, ann amazing, quiet property that was just what we (2 adults) were looking for during our trip to the Porcupine Mountains this fall. The home was incredibly clean, temp control was easy, and the decorations made it feel very cozy. If you decide to stay at Little Bear, make sure to take some time to relax in the yard at night. We were absolutely amazed by the stars! Only good things to say about the place and hosts!
Close to UP attractions. Great for 2 people and appreciate that they are dog friendly. Neighborhood was quiet. Owners offered many amenities that are usually at an additional cost. Thank you for a great stay!!!
Very clean and comfortable place in a quiet location convenient to the Porcupine Mountains State Park. The kitchen was well equipped. There were plenty of towels in the bathroom and the shower had good water pressure. We had no problem with the internet or watching the Olympics on TV in the evening. The host was very helpful and immediately available when we had questions.
I knew this was a park model and yet I wasnât ready for the looks of the neighborhood. This tiny trailer is set in an old mobile home park. A couple of the neighboring trailers looks it. This was my first impression. Then afterwards the reality of what was settled. THIS WAS A GEM IN DISGUISE. There were a handful of mobile homes here and the rest of the park was cleared of any old trailers leaving a quiet screen area.
This model home is on a large lot. We brought up a trailer with our motorcycle. The front of the lot was big enough to easily park the trailer, truck and another vehicle easily. This was a plus for us. Inside the home was very clean and well stocked. The space was small but worked out great for the two of us. Our host Amber and her husband own a store near town. They make wood products that we would have loved to see but the store was closed. Next time weâre in the area we will definitely check this store out.
The location of this place was wonderful for our little vacation. Right near the porcupine mountains, Lake Superior and many rivers, streams and waterfalls. Beautiful scenery. Our favorite falls was the Bond falls. Just gorgeous and breathtaking.
Our host Amber was very responsive to any questions we had. We needed nothing.
We had a great time checking out Porcupine Mountains, Copper Harbor and many beautiful waterfalls in the area. Nice quiet location, property was clean and well maintained.
My family of 6 enjoyed our stay! Very clean, cute, and everything we needed was already stocked, which is great when you are packing for so many people. Location was great, super close to beaches and waterfalls, restaurants, gift shops, and other things to do with small kids. Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed our time at "Little Bear #5." Everything little thing was there that we needed and the decor was really cute! Just a short drive to the Shores of Lake Superior and the Porcupine Mountain State Park. Would highly recommend.
Property was very small and would not recommend it for any more than 2 people. Overall property was clean except for the nooks and crannies. For the price, you can get a much better quality rental elsewhere.
We used the property as a base camp. We traveled during the day and pretty much just showered and slept there. It was clean and very comfortable for 2 people. Amber was great!!
We were looking for an alternative to motels in the UP of Michigan for an impromptu 5-day trip. We did an on-line search and the White Pine property came up. It is a 1 bedroom unit with bath, which sleeps 6 but is very comfortable for 2. There is a kitchenette and living room and a full length deck with table, chairs and grill. The unit comes fully equipped with everything you would need to prepare and eat some of your meals. This included all of the paper products and cleaning supplies you might need, as well as linens and towels.
Cozy Park Model is located is a very quiet area with little or no light pollution, which makes viewing the clear night sky a pleasure. There was NO road noise or any other noise that disturbed our stay. The bed was excellent! Very comfortable!
Our hosts, Amber and Ray, were a very pleasant couple.
Comparing prices with motel rooms in the area for a 4-night stay, the price quoted was reasonable, and the location was central to most of the areas that we wanted to visit in the UP.
We rate the experience as Excellent, and definitely would stay there again is we were visiting the area again.
