We love staying at Kimi’s guest cottage. This was our second year so it was a very comfortable experience. We like the location, the quiet, the birds in the morning, access to the aquatic center, proximity to Waimea and the amazing beaches.

Love love love this place!! This is our second year in a row staying at Kimi's, and we couldn't ask for anything more!! The place is absolutely lovely, with gorgeous grounds and a beautiful sunset view!! It has EVERYTHING you could ever need and is in a perfect location to explore the island. Lovely Ohana

We enjoyed our stay at Ms.Kimi'slittle Ohana.Good location....a bit of a drive to beaches but convenient to shopping needs. Quiet neighborhood with lots of privacy. Because of the hilltop location there's usually a breeze and it is generally cooler than down at the beach.The owner is a lovely lady and everything went smoothly.You won't regret staying with Ms. Kimi.

Lovely, well appointed ohana

After searching through many listings, we decided to book Kimi’s ohana. Previous reviews are spot on! It is comfortable and a good value. The landscaping and partial ocean view from back deck enhanced our stay even more.Efficient a/c unit maintains your comfort. Kitchen is well supplied with quality dish and cookware. Also a gas grill to bbq that wonderful island beef!We enjoyed visiting with Kimi, and meeting her rescue cat Harley! Kimi is always available, but respects her guests privacy as well. Relaxing Stay

We loved our stay at Kimi's guest house. The house is very comfortable for two people. The kitchen is well equipped and we cooked in almost every night. The location is convenient to north-end beaches, Waimea, Hawi, MaunaKea, the supermarket in Waikoloa Village, and of course the excellent Waikoloa Community pool. We swam every day, at least once and usually twice.

perfect hideaway

What a lovely perfect place to spend our time on the big island!! Tucked away in a lovely neighborhood that was central to Waikoloa, Waimea, Volcanoes, and even Hilo and Kona, we could not have asked for more. The property itself is beautiful, with fantastic sunset views, and early morning sunshine and birdsong. The ohana itself has everything you could possibly need for outdoor adventures, the beach, cooking, relaxing, enjoying downtime, or a perfect nights sleep ( the bed is fantastic). The only downside was having to leave-it is truly a peaceful oasis for living out a remarkable vacation. Kimi is a wonderful host and human being, and we are happy to have found her amazing ohana and been able to spend a few weeks of our lives sharing her separate space!! Many thanks Kimi!!! Hui Hou!!

You will love the Ohana! Kimi is great to work with and made my stay fun. The Ohana is very close to supermarkets, restaurants, local beaches, Mauna Kea, great farmer's markets and more! I loved the quiet solitude! Kimi also provides things you will need like beach chairs, a beach umbrella, a cooler and beach towels. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did. BJM

Kimi is a great host and I must say that my 5 weeks flew by. I didn't think I'd like being away from the ocean's door step but I actually enjoyed not being in the resort areas right on the Kona coast. The ohana is clean, highly functional and comfortable. Internet access was never an issue and from the back patio/kitchen you have a direct view of the sunsets ... if you're not down by the waterline which is 15 mins away. I have a feeling that I'll be back!

Great location and even better a charming home away from home.....Very quiet and restful. All the needed amenities for our 6 week stay..... an easy drive to all the local beaches, farmers markets with shopping for supplies minutes away. Beautiful sunset view from the back lanai. PEACEFUL

The best word to describe the Bamboo Ohana is peaceful. From the moment we stepped in the door we felt peaceful. We woke to bird songs every morning, beautiful sunsets most nights and lulled to sleep with the sound of the breeze in the bamboo. Anything you might need for a wonderful time was provided. Kimi is a excellent host.

Fantastic spot

We loved staying at Kimi's Ohana in Waikoloa village. We have stayed in a number of locations on the big island including resorts, beachside vacation rentals, vacation rentals in waimea, hawi, volcano, kona, etc. and each has there strengths. The beauty of Waikoloa is that it provides access to the benefits of all the locations on the big island from a central spot. Plus, the village itself is a pretty great place to be with the pool, tennis, pickleball, golf and great places to walk right out the door. Plus Plus, Kimi's place is awesome. Plenty of privacy, very well appointed, great taste in decor, nice outdoor spaces to eat, drink and visit, and best of all, Kimi is a superb host.

Perfection in Waikoloa!

I really feel like staying at Kimi's guest house was a gift! The house is beautiful and well appointed and offers such a sense of privacy. Everything we needed was available. Kimi is an amazing hostess and it was a pleasure to get to know her. The pictures she shows of the property are just how it appears (yet more beautiful when you're there). Add in the privacy, weather, beautiful breeze, gorgeous flowers and plants and you have the perfect place to spend your vacation!!!!!!

A Peaceful Paradise not far from our favorite beaches and restaurants.

Gracious Host and lots of privacy which we value. Small kitchen served all our cooking needs and gas grill also. Even though no A/C never felt hot as breezy and ceiling fans in all rooms. Bigger then it looks. Highly recommend (but don't book the weeks when we return)!
