Villa Muramaris ice is a beautifully furnished three-storey villa located on the cliff top of Praia de Salema, facing south, with stunning ocean views over Salema beach and the amazing coastline. The villa has a small beautiful garden with a private swimming pool. On the back there is a national park and path to secluded beaches. And there are just a few minutes walk (600 m) to the famous Salema beach (elected as one of the worlds 50 finest beaches, The Guardian, 2015) with restaurants, cafés and stores.
The property is light and airy and tastefully furnished. On the first floor there is a living room with fireplace, flat screen TV, Bose music system and a dining room for 8 people sitting with a direct access to the terrace and the garden. On this floor there is Also a fully equipped kitchen and a laundry machine. The Kitchen has access to the garden dining area for 8 persons with BBQ. On this floor there are Also a twin bedroom and a bathroom with bath, bidet and WC. On the top floor you will find the Master bedroom with double bed and connected bathroom (shower, bidet, toilet) and a balcony with stunning view over Salema beach and seating's for 4 persons. On this floor there are overpriced two additional bedrooms, one twin with views over the national park and sea and one double with a balcony and great sea views over Salema beach. There is Also a bathroom with bath, shower, bidet and WC.

The location is excellent for beach lovers, walkers and golfers and, for days out, is close to a number of other small villages and popular areas Such as Sagres and Luz and for shopping & markets, Lagos.
Faro airport is Approximately one hour's drive. The town of Lagos is just 20 km away and the Santo Antonio Resort, where you will find a golf course, tennis courts, health club and spa is only 2. 5 km away.

The private pool Measures 8.5 meters in length and 2.6-3.6 m in width and has a saltwater cleaning system and an automatic cover for safety. At the pool area there are sun beds, armchairs and a douche.
The property has a garage and space outside for parking.
Rates include a weekly maid cleaning service with towel and linen change. Smoking is not allowed inside the house.

Fabulous stay in Salema

We had a very enjoyable week. The house is spacious and very well appointed with a lovelly garden, pool and outdoor eating area. There is plenty of room and different seating areas to socialise or escape on you own as you wish. The views the sea from the front of the house and balconies are lovely. It is a short walk into Salema and to the sandy main beach, so long as you don't mind walking back up the hill. The house backs onto the national park where there are plenty of footpaths and beatiful coastline & beaches to be discovered.

Wonderful house in beautiful Salema!

My family and I, along with our dear friends, had an absolutely wonderful time in Peter's home. The house was just as described- clean, spacious, beautifully decorated and simply wonderful views. We enjoyed waking up and sitting out on the terrace, sipping coffee and watching the sunrise over the water. The town of Salema was just perfect- not too built up, easy to walk around , great beach, and nice restaurants. We especially loved Em Lume Brando. Delicious dinners! The trails behind the property were great to hike around in, see some more beautiful views, and discover hidden beaches. Peter's pool was such a treat to come back to and relax in. It was always a perfectly warm temperature, too! Communication with Peter was very easy and he was always quick to respond to any of our questions. Thank you for such a wonderful stay! We hope to come back soon!

Séjour parfaite !

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour dans votre demeure. Chaque pièce est unique et décorée avec goût ! La villa est très propre et bien équipée. La cour extérieure et la piscine étaient parfaites. Et que dire de la vue sur la mer…. WoW ! L’emplacement est génial. C’est près de Lagos et de Sagres. À pieds de la demeure, il y a une magnifique plage avec de l’ambiance et deux autres plus sauvages et calmes. Merci de nous avoir bien accueillis et répondu à nos questions ! A great house

A lovely house, really well appointed, in a lovely village. The host, Peter, saw to our every need and was fantastic. The house itself is very homely - it doesn't feel like a rental, it feels like a home - with a well stocked kitchen, lovely garden and terrace, and of course the pool. In a very quiet spot with glorious views over the Salema beach. We really enjoyed our stay here and would thoroughly recommend it.

Très belle maison idealement située

Maison avec une belle vue sur l ocean, proche de 2 plages dont une sauvage derrière la colline merveilleuse. Tres bien équipée pour cuisiner, meublée avec soin, de l espace et 3 salles de bain ce qui est idéal pour un groupe , une chouette piscine et un petit jardin avec des chaises relax en nombre pour profiter de l extérieur. Enfin Peter est à l l'écoute et a été très réactif à nos demandes.

Ein Traumdomizil an der Algarve

Etwas unscheinbar sieht die Villa Muramaris von außen aus. Sie ist sehr ruhig gelegen in einem Wohngebiet in Salema und grenzt an ein tolles Naturschutzgebiet an. In der Villa selbst merkt man jedoch die Liebe zum Detail. Man fühlt sich direkt wohl und wie Zuhause. Man genießt von fast allen Zimmern und der wunderschönen Terrasse den herrlichen Meerblick. In der Küche fehlt es einem wirklich an nichts und man kann hier nach Herzenslust kochen, oder aber auch einfach in eines der tollen Restaurants in der Umgebung gehen. Man kann den Ort und die Strandpromenade zwar gut zu Fuß erreichen, jedoch ist ein Auto sehr zu empfehlen, da der Supermarkt etwas weiter außerhalb liegt und man den Rest der Algarve auch nicht verpassen sollte. Peter der Vermieter war stets in Kontakt mit uns und fragte regelmäßig nach unserem Wohl. Auch erinnerte er uns nochmals daran unbedingt die abgelegenen Strände hinter dem Haus zu besuchen, wofür wir ihm sehr dankbar waren. Etwa 20 min. Fußmarsch durch das Naturschutzgebiet führt einen an traumhafte, fast menschenleere Strände, die wir sehr genossen. Ich kann die Villa Muramaris und ihren Vermieter Peter uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und wir würden wiederkommen, wenn wir die Algarve nochmals besuchen.

Clean, homely, the hill was hard some days. We enjoyed the pool, appreciated barbecue and all different areas. It was very hot and maybe some fans could be added. Views were lovely. Lots of pots and pans to use!! The safety features for young children were good. All in all a lovely holiday in a lovely place

Great communication from owner before holiday with tips for restaurants etc Great pool that gets sun all day. Outside areas super, with good bbq. 5 min walk down to beach (10 min back), great views of Salema. Will definitely return some time. Thanks for the stay Peter, you have a great house.

Beautiful house in an amazing location

The images of this house do not do it justice. It has amazing views, large rooms, multiple bathrooms and all has been very tastefully decorated. It has all you need for a lovely holiday. We went with two small children (3 years and 9 months) so had plenty of space in the house which could comfortably fit 8 people. With small children is very child friendly with a cot and high chair made available as well as a stair gate to cover off the stairs down from the main living areas to the front doors. We went in early/mid September temperatures were in between 23-28 degrees but it did get cold in the evenings and was windy on a few days. The outside area and pool are lovely and were so nice we had little need to stray from the house. The views from the house are fantastic overlooking the village of Salema with a great position at the top of the hill. The small village of Salema was perfect. The beach was delightful and full working fishermen on one side and beachgoers on the other. There was also a great range of local restaurants. Restaurant Lorenco for fish was great, and they were very accommodating of the small children (even without a 'children's menu'), but best get there early as it gets busy at lunch. The walk up to the house after a day in the village is tricky as the hill is steep but does help work off too much food at lunch! I cant recommend this house enough. In addition Sofie and Peter are very quick at getting back and answering questions through the booking process and prior to your stay. We had no need to contact them while in the house however had we needed to I would not have hesitated, thanks to their friendly nature through the booking.

Traumhafte Villa auf einer Klippe von Praia de Salema mit fantastischem Meerblick

Wir hatten zu "acht" (6 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder) zwei wunderschöne Wochen in traumhafter Lage mit Blick auf's Meer. Diese Villa ist einfach perfekt und kann unsererseits uneingeschränkt weiterempfohlen werden. Alle Räumlichkeiten sind äußerst großzügig, gepflegt und modern eingerichtet. Die Ausstattung ließ absolut keine Wünsche offen. Hier muss man sich einfach wohlfühlen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es ausreichend, auch in der näheren Umgebung. 3 wunderschöne Badestrände, mit herrlich weißem Sand, ohne Steine, in nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar - einfach fantastisch. Wenn jetzt jemand etwas Negatives erwartet, den muss ich leider enttäuschen, so etwas gab es in der "Villa Muramaris" nicht!

A lovely house that feels like a home

We, four adults and three children 10-15 years old, spent one week in Muramaris in August 2017. We were very satisfied with the house as well as the small village of Salema. The house is very well equipped and decorated with such a good taste. It feels like a home not a rental house and the pictures and description from the web-site matches reality. The house is located a bit above Salema village with a 5-10 minutes uphill walk from the centre of Salema. It is located in a very quiet area and has a beautiful sea-view. The house is spacious with a nice living-room and three bath-rooms more or less connected to the different bedrooms that makes them feel private. The master bedroom is to die for. The garden offers different places to sit during the day depending on if you prefer sun or shadow and the children loved the pool. Both the pool and garden are very well maintained. The kitchen is very well equipped so we had no problem cocking our own meals. We didn’t miss anything during our stay in Muramaris, not even the AC which we were a bit concerned about when visiting in mid-August. In fact it was quite chilly in the evening and a sweater was appreciated. Just behind the house is a nice natural reserve with nice walks, amazing views and small hidden beaches. Our favourites! Salema is a small and quiet town and it doesn’t feel very touristic but when travelling in August it is necessary to make table reservations at the restaurants. We found it very convenient having a rental car since the supermarkets in Salema are very small and do not have much to offer so we went to the supermarket in Budens (10 minutes by car) to shop for groceries and the most fantastic orange juice.

Das Haus hat nicht nur eine sehr gute Lage mit kurzen Wegen zu den Traumstränden Salemas und zum Dorf, sondern ist durch die Lage oben am Hügel sehr ruhig gelegen mit traumhaftem Blick auf die Bucht. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet, die Ausstattung ist hervorragend. Sogar eine Soundbox steht zur Verfügung. Dank der beiden Terrassen kann man zu jeder Tageszeit bestimmen, ob man lieber mit oder ohne Sonne draußen verweilt. Der Pool ist eine sehr gute Ergänzung zum Meerwasser, unsere Kinder haben ihn sehr genossen. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und beantwortet allle Fragen umgehend. Ich habe lange überlegt, mir fällt jedoch kein einziger Kritikpunkt ein:) Volle Punktzahl!

Very beautiful and comfortable villa corresponding exactly to the description. Marvelous seaviews!

Peter has always answered rapidly to all our questions before taking a favorable decision for renting. The villa is very beautiful, near a very pretty beach, very quiet and comfortable. As we like walking in the nature it is very easy from the villa. The position is very interesting as it is possible to go easily on the West beaches after Sagres, and also on Lagos, where you can find many tourists attractions and so on. So everyone in our group could find is own pleasure. It is very well decorated with sensibility. We really appreciated these 2 weeks. Thank's Peter.

Fantastic family holiday

Villa Muramaris was a little piece of heaven in our family vacation. We had a fantastic time exploring the beaches and the more secluded beaches in the area. The villa was perfect for our families. Fantastic decor, comfortable beds, beautiful pool, relaxing atmosphere, and stunning views. Peter was a gracious host, opening his house to us. He responded promptly to our questions and concerns before the trip and during our stay. He even had a bottle of chilled wine and a chilled bottle of water when we arrived. What a great touch! The only drawback, which was our of Peter's control, was the flies during the week we stayed. Apparently there was a great deal more flies that week, making sitting outside frustrating. Overall, we had a fabulous time! Thank you for making our vacation so memorable.
