'My husband and I have just spent three wonderful nights at Coast Nest. The accommodation was lovely: spacious, clean, comfortable with a well appointed kitchen with everything we needed. We really felt like we were staying at a friend’s home. Our Labrador had a wonderful time exploring the large, fenced garden. The house is in a great location, a short drive or leisurely walk to a great dog-friendly beach. We’d love to return sometime in the future.'

'Lovely spacious apartment… but courtyard was unkempt and unswept… so we had to sweep up all the leaves before we felt like sitting out there. Also, previous occupants had emptied 2 bottles of olive oil and left them in the cupboard. '

It has many little features - lamps, ornaments, photos and artwork- making it interesting and welcoming. The local pub, cafe & bar/restaurant are a short walk, as are the beaches and coastal walking paths. '

'The house was beautiful, with well equipped facilities and a nice backyard area. Upon walking in, my mates and I found it to be better in person than on the listing, feeling more spacious and homey. The Venus Bay Area is also extremely friendly and welcoming, and the local beaches are beautiful. Overall a great stay for the week and absolutely worth the money and time!! '

'We had a lovely stay at Shearwater, it's a beautiful property and is well fitted out with everything you need. Safe and fun for kids, too, with a fence on the stairs and toys that our toddler loved rummaging in. We loved the area and want to go back because there is so much to see. The house was a bit more drive in and out, but probably more accessible walking if you're with mostly adults or older kids. We were there in winter so a lot was closed for the season, but we didn't mind, we were...

'The property was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, with modern appliances and a fresh feel throughout. It was great having two separate lounge areas and a generously sized dining table – perfect for larger groups. However, some practical issues affected our stay. The single beds were too short for taller adults (6ft), and with only 2 toilets – one being in an ensuite – sharing between 10 people wasn’t ideal. A 3rd toilet would have been a more suitable design. Also, just 1 tea towel for...

'Staying across the road from the beach is fabulous but the house is in need of some tlc, whilst generally clean the big glass windows looking out to either deck were very dirty. The actual decking is badly in need of care and there are a few nails sticking up. The main oven didn’t work and there was no gas for the bbq. We were told to get a refill and would be refunded but being the public holiday we didn’t bother. Otherwise it is a spacious house with plenty of room and an extra downstairs room...
