Set within the refined La Dimora di San Maurizio residence, the apartment occupies the first floor of the palazzo and is conveniently served by a lift, making it an especially comfortable choice for guests seeking a central Venice base without compromising on character or atmosphere.

Positioned prettily in pale pink opposite the Museum of Music in sunny Campo San Maurizio, La Dimora places you right in the heart of Venice, between the cafés and atmosphere of Santo Stefano and the luxury boutiques surrounding St Mark’s Square. The celebrated La Fenice Opera House is within an easy stroll, while the elegant Gritti Palace’s Riva Lounge on the Grand Canal is close by for glamorous drinks beside the water.

Apartment 1 sleeps up to 8 guests and offers three bedrooms, two full bathrooms and an additional guest bathroom. Its interiors are beautifully presented in warm peach, russet, ochre and natural tones, creating an inviting atmosphere throughout. Six windows at the front of the apartment look across the Campo towards the tipsily tilting bell tower of Santo Stefano, bringing the unmistakable character of Venice directly into the home.

THE LIVING SPACE

The apartment opens into a cosy and welcoming sitting room decorated in romantic peach tones. The colour palette brings to mind the delicious Bellinis traditionally associated with Harry’s Bar, while whitewashed wooden timbers overhead and wooden flooring topped with a Kilim rug add warmth and texture.

Comfortable seating provides a relaxed place for the whole group to gather after a day exploring Venice, whether for conversation, planning the next day’s adventures or simply raising a glass together. The sitting room also includes a double sofa bed, providing additional sleeping accommodation within the apartment.

KITCHEN & DINING

Alongside the sitting room is a fully fitted kitchen and dining room, also positioned at the front of the apartment. The kitchen is equipped with integrated appliances, making it well suited to preparing meals and refreshments during your stay.

The dining area features a dining suite with seating for six guests, together with additional bar-stool seating for two. This gives the apartment flexibility for groups of up to eight guests and provides a natural setting for shared breakfasts, relaxed dinners or a glass of wine before heading out into Venice.

A pair of open doorways connects the kitchen and dining room with the sitting room, creating a sociable flow between the principal living spaces.

THE MASTER BEDROOM

The apartment’s master bedroom is a particularly elegant retreat, positioned at the front of the property and overlooking Campo San Maurizio.

The room is decorated in rich autumnal russet tones and centres around a beautifully dressed double bed. Oriental-style lanterns stand to either side, while a custom-made wardrobe provides practical storage.

The master bedroom also benefits from its own pristine bathroom, complete with a luxurious walk-in shower.

Cleverly positioned between the bedroom and its private bathroom is a useful dressing room and wardrobe area, creating a practical transition between the sleeping and bathing spaces.

SECOND DOUBLE BEDROOM

The second bedroom is an equally sumptuous and beautifully furnished space, located towards the rear of the palazzo.

BATHROOMS

La Dimora di San Maurizio 1 has two full bathrooms as well as a separate guest bathroom.

The master bedroom has its own private bathroom with a luxurious walk-in shower.

A second bathroom is shared between the second and third bedrooms. This bathroom is finished with attractive argyle-pattern tiling and features a large, luxurious walk-in shower.

There is also a separate guest bathroom just beyond the sitting room, equipped with a WC and wash hand basin. Lewis & Wood’s Benaki wallpaper, a mirror and soft lighting give this compact space its own elegant decorative finish.

THE BUILDING & LOCATION

The apartment forms part of La Dimora di San Maurizio, a collection of restored Venetian apartments housed within a beautifully reawakened historic building. The restoration has been carried out with an emphasis on respecting the character and heritage of the building while introducing lavish, fully bespoke interiors.

The residence is poised in pink opposite the Museum of Music in Campo San Maurizio, one of the atmospheric spaces that make central Venice so distinctive.

From here, guests can easily explore some of the city's most celebrated sights and neighbourhoods on foot. The cafés around Santo Stefano are nearby, while St Mark’s Square and its surrounding luxury boutiques are within easy reach. The world-famous La Fenice Opera House is also just a short stroll away.

For an especially memorable Venetian evening, the Gritti Palace’s Riva Lounge offers Grand Canal-side drinks within a comfortable walk of the apartment.

The central location makes it possible to experience Venice largely on foot, moving between historic palazzi, atmospheric campos, cafés, restaurants, boutiques and some of the city’s most famous landmarks.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

The apartment sleeps up to 8 guests across three bedrooms and additional sofa-bed accommodation.

The sleeping configuration comprises two double beds, two single sofa beds and one double sofa bed.

Both double beds can be arranged as two single beds upon request, giving the apartment additional flexibility for different types of groups.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

The apartment is located on the first floor and is served by a lift.

Air-conditioning and heating are available subject to Venice municipality regulations. In general, heating operates from approximately mid-October to mid-April, while air-conditioning is available from approximately mid-April to mid-October. Guests are welcome to contact the host for further information regarding seasonal operation.

Internet access is included, together with the apartment's other stated utilities.

The rental rates are fully inclusive of utilities such as gas and electricity, as well as bed linen, towels, final cleaning, welcome on arrival and check-in up until 8 p.m. Air-conditioning and internet access are also included when available at the chosen apartment. Telephone charges, where applicable, are extra.

There are no hidden charges, although Venice Tourist Tax is payable separately.

CHECK-IN & ARRIVAL

Standard check-in is available from 15:00 until 20:00. Arrivals before 15:00 can be organised upon request.

For arrivals between 20:00 and midnight, an arrival fee of €50 applies and is payable in cash upon arrival.

Check-in between midnight and 1:00 a.m. can be arranged with a €100 surcharge, also payable in cash upon arrival. Arrivals after 1:00 a.m. can only be organised upon request.

These additional charges reflect the extra staffing required for late-night arrivals.

TOURIST TAX

The Venice Tourist Tax is charged at €4.00 per person per night. This applies to the first five consecutive nights of a guest’s stay in Venice and is payable in cash in euros to the local representative upon arrival at the apartment.

For stays of more than seven nights, a weekly change of bed linen and towels is included.

La Dimora di San Maurizio is particularly well suited to larger groups travelling together who would like to stay close to one another while retaining the privacy and independence of separate apartments.
