The Outpost is designed for two. If you're traveling with a small child and are willing to squeeze, a pack-n-play will technically fit - just let us know!

INSIDE
A queen bed set beneath an oversized window to star gaze or watch the sunrise. A kitchenette with a coffee maker, 2-burner propane stovetop, toaster, dishes, and flatware. Plus an air purifier, white noise machine, a Roku TV, and HVAC for year-round comfort.

OUTSIDE
A private hot tub tucked among the cedars, with a slice of horizon beyond. A personal fire pit for s'mores (subject to county burn bans). And a propane grill (the propane's on us).

STOCKED FOR YOU
Coffee from our favorite roaster here in Texas. Bath products and fresh towels. And Wi-Fi for those who need to stay connected.

AROUND VALLEY MILLS
We love and recommend Valley Mills Vineyard for family-run Texas wine and weekend live music. Helberg Barbecue for the brisket smash burger (chef's kiss!). Olaf's for a lovely ranch-to-table dinner experience. Downtown Clifton for antiquing and good eats. And, of course, beloved Waco, just 30 minutes away, for Magnolia Silos and Baylor Bears.

Each cabin sits in its own pocket of the property, tucked into the trees with room to breathe. The deck, the fire pit, and the hot tub are yours alone for the length of your stay.

Valley Mills is a charming little town, located where central Texas meets the hill country. It's easy to slow down here - that's why we love it. When you want a bigger day out, Clifton and Waco are great spots to dine and shop.

The Train: Our local train passes through day and night and sounds its horn for about 10 seconds at a time. Most guests embrace it as part of the small-town charm, but the cabin is stocked with earplugs and a sound machine for your comfort.

The Property: Each unit is set to provide peaceful views and plenty of space, but we do have other units across our 11 acres that may be occupied during your stay. The land provides natural separation and privacy, but you may occasionally see or hear others.

Nature & Wildlife: You're staying in the heart of the Texas countryside, which is a big part of the magic here. On 11 wooded acres it's not unusual to meet deer, birds, and the occasional snake, spider, or fire ants. Enjoy them from a respectful distance, keep an eye on little ones, and watch your step after dark.

Security Cameras: Exterior cameras at the entrance and driveway. Outdoor-facing only. They never monitor the interior of any unit or private outdoor spaces like your hot tub or soaking tub.

No pets. Smoke-free property. Only registered guests on the property, message us for any exceptions.
