I chose this because of the screened in porch to give time and space for some reading and journaling. I now only wish I would have spent more time on the porch but it was great. Do note that there are two other units in the same building. I knew that when I booked this, but my neighbor did not so just be sure you're clear that you are not going to have the whole building to yourself. My neighbors had not originally left me a parking space so make sure you pay attention to the diagram included in the listing pictures. This truly is by itself in the trees so you can have some quiet. I recommend checking out Brow Park just down the hill and around the curve. It's a perfect place to sit for lunch at an overlook and watch the sunset in the evenings. Multiple people in town show up to watch the sunset. Getting down to Mentone Market for meals was very easy. Rather than thinking about making reservations or having a long wait at the larger restaurants I just picked up food, brought it back to my room and reheated leftovers for dinner. The room has a small refrigerator as well as a toaster oven and a microwave so you can store and reheat leftovers or any food that you decide to bring. I would definitely look to stay here again for another quick weekend getaway.
