'To say that cactus was big is an understatement. It’s so big it probably charges the owners rent! Very clean and VERY quiet. We saw a lot of stars we normally don’t see. Huge deck allowing morning and evening sun. Nice and relaxing for coffee and wine. We literally did not see another person up there except on the road. It is a birder paradise and the ground squirrels frolicking was a kick. We will be back when visiting grandkids.'

'What a fantastic safari-like experience! The place was very tastefully done (think senior British officer's tent in 1800s) with all modern amenities (and wifi, if you dont want to unplug). Host Lauri was very communicative and easy to work with. We'll definitely be back when we have moree dayss.'

'Michelle made everything easy, welcoming, and wonderful. The location is PHENOMENAL, and they take amazing care of the grounds. The property feels like an oasis. My friend and I stayed at the Beach House for our Spartan race, and it had everything we needed and more. Highly recommend!'

'The property was very nice and comfy, the views were beautiful, similar to the photos, though our stay was at Christmas. Pet friendly, a great location relative to the general Ramona area. Directions to property and accessing it were clear and detailed.'

'The cottage is immaculate and decorated in a very pleasant manner that fits the Julian vibe. When I had questions, the host answered them quickly. All appliances are new, the kitchen and bath have both been very recently remodeled with attractive finishes. Very pleasant ambiance. My only cautionary note is that when booked thru VRBO, my credit card was charged a very large damage deposit upfront along with the cost of the stay. Perhaps that could be reconsidered. '

'My family described the house as whimsical. It’s a very cool home with amazing views from the deck. We loved staying there and the kids couldn’t get enough of the spiral staircase. It’s dog friendly, has a full kitchen, good shower pressure, and excellent as far as privacy goes for a disconnected weekend away. The road to the cabin is a rough dirt road that takes some skill to navigate from the north side. I didn’t travel from the west but am told it was also a bit of a tough dirt road though...
