« Standards have fallen at the Westleton Crown. Outside, several car park bays were inexplicably cordoned off so there was a shortage of available spaces. Inside there was a bucket catching a leak from a skylight in the main dining room. The corridor, staircase and bedroom carpets are dirty and worn. The seat in our WC fell off. Overall, the decor is old, tired and in urgent need of an uplift. We will certainly think carefully before booking the Crown again anytime soon, and we will certainly not...

« Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk. Het ontbijt en ook het restaurant waren uitstekend. Echter, onze kamer was redelijk schoon bij onze komst, maar is daarna niet schoongemaakt. Het bed werd meestal niet opgemaakt. Vuile theekopjes bleven gewoon staan. De vloer is niet gestofzuigd. Zeep en shampoo werden niet aangevuld. Our room was spotlessly clean, all the staff were warm and friendly, dining was excellent, all our meals were fresh and well presented. « Liked how the staff upgraded us and were responsive to our feedback. Liked the bed and linen, and how, mostly, the apartment was clean. Liked how Oulton Broad North railway station was walkable, and how room 11 has a parking space - if hard to find and quite tight. The place was good value. Not so good: There was a stained grey rug in the living area that needs replacing. We didn’t have a tea towel or oven gloves until we asked. There was no bath mat - and not enough hooks to hang towels on. »
