  • Blue Crab Cottage is een charmante 1940's cottage, die volledig is gerenoveerd, met inbegrip van de keukens en badkamers! Het huisje biedt alle volledig moderne gemakken die u verwacht, maar heeft nog steeds veel karakter. Het huis beschikt over drie slaapkamers en twee badkamers. De master heeft een kingsize bed en een eenpersoonsbed en een aangrenzende badkamer met een inloopdouche. De eerste gastenslaapkamer heeft een kingsize bed en een ligbed. De tweede gast slaapkamer heeft een queensize bed en een aangrenzende badkamer met inloopdouche. Alle slaapkamers zijn ingericht met flatscreen-tv's. Het huisje is geschikt voor maximaal 7 comfortabel.

    Gelegen op slechts een korte 2 blokken naar het strand in grote zuidkant locatie op loopafstand van restaurants, winkels, de pier en nog veel meer! Er is een gemeubileerd gescreend veranda met eet-en outdoor zitplaatsen en een gas grill. Gelegen in de achtertuin is een in de grond zwembad (17ft bij 10ft) ideaal voor gezinnen. U kunt heerlijk ontspannen in uw prive-zwembad tijdens de warme zomerdagen of vragen over het toevoegen op een optionele zwembad warmte in de Lente / Herfst.

Cute little cottage with only a 5 minute walk to the beach. The pool was perfect for our group to swim in the evenings after spending the day on the beach!

Great Get-away

We brought the dogs and had a great stay. Travelled in and out of Savannah, spent time on the beach, attended an event--it was very fun! The area was wonderful for walking, lots of people around and felt safe. It was also great for walking our dogs, morning and night. Beautiful island!

Girl's weekend

This cottage was perfect for our girl's trip. It was decorated so cute and is a well maintained property. It had plenty of room for everyone, short walk to the beach, and only a short drive to Savannah. The pool was a bonus in the evenings after walking around all day in the Savannah heat.

Our Family Stay at Blue Crab Cottage

Blue Crab Cottage was so adorable and perfect for 3 couples, all family, who stayed for 4 nights. Each bedroom and ensuite bath were great with comfortable beds and space to spread out. We came together in the cozy living room/dining room/kitchen areas, as well as, on the screened porch. The pool was terrific for lounging after a day at the beach! We would definitely stay here again and hope to plan another trip soon to Tybee!

It was just OK

The blue crab cottage is not a five star property. The location is fantastic and it’s very clean. It’s also nice that everything is on one floor, which makes it easy to load and unload. The downside is that the pictures of the property online are misleading. They were clearly taken many years ago and the property has deteriorated since then. It needs a lot of TLC and refreshing to bring it back to even a four star level.

Fall weekend

Enjoyed the property. Would not recommend paying for the pool to be heated on the fall. There isn’t a good filter system and it was full of palm berries. No way to get it clean.

Cute & quaint

Cute cottage close to the main "downtown" area of Tybee Island on a quiet street. Well stocked kitchen & bath. The pool was a small 4' splash pool that (unfortunately) was under a palm tree that dropped berries & leaves into it. Property management said it was scheduled to be cleaned the following day & it was. Too bad the trees didn't cooperate. Note- 1 bedroom was main access point to backyard unless you wanted to use front door & walk around the house.

Dryer doesn’t work- needed to dry items twice. Didn’t provide the bag with paper products, soap, sponge, laundry detergent, etc. we texted about it and the exchange was quite accusatory that it was our fault we didn’t have any. We then went and tried to pick some up at the office which was the instruction given to us and when we arrived they didn’t have everything we needed so they said they would send someone fromHousekeeping right away (this was 9:30am). At 3pm I had to follow up with a message and ask for the items to be delivered which was finally around 4pm. fridge leaks and is missing shelves and the ice dispenser doesn’t workThe patio furniture was broken in the backyard. The pool was not cleaned prior to our arrival. Fence was broken on the side of the houseLight was broken in the backyard and we had to call maintenance. However he was lovely and super helpful and efficient. There were no coffee filters for the coffee maker. There were no hand towels for the restrooms. The light switch for the dining room light had to be pressed a few times and then wouldn’t turn off either. I’d replace the switch. The remote for the fan in the living room also doesn’t work. Couldn’t turn on the light or increase/decrease the speed of the fan. Lamp next to the bed for the bedroom which has access to the pool the fixture doesn’t stay lit unless you mess with the bulb. The air conditioning units all stopped working in the bedrooms at 4:30am day of departure.

Blue Crab disappointed

Much smaller than it looks in pictures. We had six and it was tight. Sprinkler system kept coming on when we were enjoying time on porch. Washer did not rinse or drain water. 2 bathroom towel racks were broken. Very chilly in winter even with heater. Pool took all day to warm up. Living room was difficult to have everyone together. Parking says it was free during holiday but attendants gave tickets anyone to out of state cars.

Our vacation at the Blue Crab cottage began with a red flag. On our way to Tybee I got a call from Tybee Vacation Rentals, TVR, that there was a leak under the refrigerator but not to worry. They had made a note of it and it wouldn’t count against me. I was also told it would not be repaired, just to put a towel under the fridge. That night we tried the air conditioner, there were 4 split HVAC units, and none of them worked. We spent a lot of vacation time the next day on the phone with TVR about fixing that to no avail. We kept calling and complaining. Finally a repairman showed up late afternoon the next day. He pointed out that someone had tried to repair the unit outside before we arrived and had left tools lying on the ground. He did something to it but it still didn’t work. Also the cottage had the bare minimum of the niceties you’d expect from a rental in that price range. No spices, not even salt and pepper. Not even a can opener. And no laundry detergent. Two of our guests had no curtain or shade on the floor length window on the back door in their room. They had to hang a beach blanket. Also the porch screen door didn’t shut. What bothers me is that the cottage was rented knowing there were all these issues, most importantly the HVAC. If you choose to stay here check to see if these issues have been resolved. Also, we found out that we should have contacted VRBO immediately, not TVR.

Girls trip

Close to savannah and the beach, best of both worlds. Hit with a hurricane last day which made flights questionable but we were able to extend the stay to avoid any issues. Love the cottage.

A Cozy Home Not Too Far From The Beach

This place was amazing; plenty of space, amenities, and in a great location for getting to the beach easily. You aren't beach front but that is okay for us. We enjoyed having the pool when we were back from the beach to take a quick break before heading out to do more exploring of Tybee Island. You are also within walking distance of some delicious restaurants should you get hungry. We had a van and a truck so parking was a little challenging as the parking area is kind of small. We made it work though, and had a few days where we drove up to Savannah to do some exploring there as well (only 30 minutes drive away). Overall the experience was great and I can see myself coming back, Tybee rocks!

This cottage is in a great location. You can walk to almost everything. And the pool is a nice addition when you want a day off the beach.

This cottage was really cute. Best feature was a private bath for each bedroom! Kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. It was an easy walk to shops, restaurants and the beach. We would stay here again!

Great Stay at Blue Crab

We had such a great vacation at Blue Crab Cottage--our first in three years! We were close to the beach--a QUICK golf cart ride to any of a mid/south beaches on the island--and to restaurants and ice cream, and the local grocery store, but also in a more quiet neighborhood setting. The little pool is just perfect! Our girls LOVED it and hung out in there when we weren't at the beach. Rental Company was great to work with and helped out with requests--new propane tank for grill and water not going to brand new fridge--in less than an hour. Definitely recommend Blue Crab Cottage.

Thanksgiving 2021

From age 4- 47 we all thoroughly enjoyed this house! We cooked a complete Thanksgiving meal with an excellent appointed kitchen! 5 min walk to the pier, restaurants and shops They only thing I would say needs some attention would be the mattresses weren’t the best and would definitely take this place to the next level of upgraded…. We would definitely stay again!!!

Dishes were dirty and had to be recleaned. House was very musty. There should be a privacy blind on door in bedroom that leads to pool. Other than those minor issues we loved it.

Prefect size and location for small group

We spent 4th of July weekend. Right near pier with shops, restaurants, bike rental and fireworks. House is small but had everything we needed- 3 bed/3bath, full kitchen and nice screened in porch with plenty of room. Pool in back yard was just the right size on a hot day instead of dealing with beach crowds.
