Absolutely fabulous home in a peaceful setting with spectacular views
Staying in this home is a vacation in itself! The hillside setting with spectacular views of the valley below is fantastic. We could sit out on the patio for hours enjoying the picturesque landscape, the saguaros and ocotillo, and the many birds that visit. We enjoyed the beautiful pool and hot tub each day. The home is well laid out, nicely decorated, well equipped and very comfortable. We felt it was a very special place and loved our stay there. Communication with the hosts was excellent and we highly recommend!

What an amazing stay in Tucson. Every day brought new hiking and biking trails to explore. Every trail was so easy to access. Norris did everything possible to make our week so incredible. Every day was a new adventure. We never ran out of things to do. The house was so remote and quiet. This house was super clean and stocked very well. Thanks once again, it is so refreshing to deal with owners like Norris and Carri. Cheers!

Incredible Retreat!
This house is a home, an incredible home. All of our spring break needs were met. We toured Tucson a couple days but it was hard to leave the property. We watched the sunset and the sunrise across the beautiful view. The house was clean and had everything we could have needed. We hope to return soon.

Secluded paradise
This beautiful property is well-equipped and very well-maintained. Great layout with the open living space and the 3 bedrooms. The outside shines with multiple terraces, a pool, a hot tub, a grill, and many lounge chairs to enjoy the winter sun. Norris is always reachable and very responsive. The best feature is that you are in the middle of the Sonoran desert with lots of Saguaros and wildlife (coyotes, deer, foxes, birds) right in your front yard, but still close to the city with all its attractions and lots of hiking trails close by. 5 Stars, hands down.

Great desert hideaway for a family
Beautiful home with spectacular decks, pools and views. Excellent host family who provide super helpful information to make the most out of your time in Tuscon. Great location for hiking and easy drive to old Tuscon for fun restaurant scene. Very well appointed home with everything a family needs. Open layout of house makes it perfect gathering place for family and friends. The drive up to the house is very challenging, but adds to the adventure. We even say an 8-point deer from the back deck. Highly recommend.

Thanks for the great review!! We prefer to call the driveway ‘adventurous.’ It's what makes the house close to town and yet still remote. The deer you saw was Dave, regular visitor to the pool until we fixed the fence😎 Delighted to have your family back any time! Happy holidays🌵🌵

Home in the hills
Far enough away from the Interstate and th strip malls and yet close enough to restaurants downtown and hiking. Clean, well-equipped, and beautiful landscaping, with almost all the cacti native to Southern Arizona on one large view lot. A great place to come home to after a day of hiking, sight seeing, or wine tasting.

A little surprised at the 4 star. No indication of any issues and allowed him to leave a day early, reduced his charges accordingly for no reason other than he changed his plans.

Girls trip!
Perfect house and surroundings to relax with girlfriends of 40 years. Natural beauty and wildlife to take in. Comfortable and inviting house. Would definitely recommend! Our hosts were fantastic:)

Southwest vacation
This is a wonderful place for a vacation. The pictures in the listing do not do it justice -- it's absolutely gorgeous. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming and responsive to any questions we had (which were few!). The house is remote, and yet close to everything at the same time! Definitely will recommend. Spectacular property
Everything was thought of and many bits and pieces were supplied. The pool was great and the view was amazing. We had a very comfortable stay and would book again if we were ever in the area (although it is probably a once in a lifetime trip for us!)

Summer Getaway
The home is beautiful and has gorgeous views. We noticed and appreciated the attention to detail. The pool and back patio face East making the evenings out grilling and watching the sun go down on the city quite pleasant. The last 2 days were the warmest but we were able to escape the heat by visiting the Catalinas, the trip up was fun going through the different ecosystems. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

Simply Paradise!
Our week at Casa Gaje was one of my favorite vacations ever and certainly my favorite house rental yet! The setting and views are jaw dropping, and the pool is spectacular. We left the house once a day to eat out, but otherwise had a full week of sun, pool, and hot tub and loved every minute. We very much enjoyed the patio area and the pool's size. We liked watching the wildlife around the property: dove, quail, coyote, deer, hummingbirds and finally on our drive away as we were leaving: one javelina! The layout of the house was perfect for us. The house is very comfortable, and we had everything we needed. Norris and Cary are wonderful hosts and available to respond to any questions. We're already looking at our calendar in hopes of returning next summer!

If you come across this listing and it is available, book it. You will not be disappointed. The pictures don’t do these views justice. Perfect location to explore Tucson. If you want a “staycation,” then you can spend all day in the glorious backyard by the pool. Kitchen is well-stocked, and open concept makes it great for groups. Last but not least, Cary & Norris couldn’t be better hosts… responsive, accomodative, caring. 10/10 would recommend and hope to be back soon!

Beautiful Place!
We had an amazing vacation! The home was beautiful and stocked with everything we needed. The pool was cold but the kiddos didn't mind. The view was very nice especially at sunrise. That drive up to the house was scary... no matter how many times we did it but I think it was just us. I would definitely stay again :)

Desert beauty
This is a wonderful house in a beautiful private setting. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the large patio area with expansive desert and city vistas. It was too early in the season to appreciate the pool - but the hot tub was great after a day of hiking or biking. Sweetwater preserve is nearby with good hiking. The hosts were great - very responsive and helpful! I sure hope we can get back here.

Lovely wilderness home
This home is beautiful and well-furnished for cooking, relaxing and playing. The hot tub and pool are great with an amazing view of wilderness surroundings and the city. The stars are beautifully visible from the hot tub!

Best rental ever!
The home is beautiful and super clean. It was well stocked with all the items that were important. We loved the hot tub. Host responded when needed. Beautiful view. We will stay again. We have stayed before at other locations and this is our favorite. I do not give out 5 stars very often.
