First room we were assigned smelled like literal death. We actually checked the closet for a dead body. Front desk sent a handyman (Tyler -was very polite) who brought a little machine to pump a gross air freshener into the room that he called "a housekeeping toy for some of the mustier rooms..." That upset my daughter's asthma so we requested a room change. Only other room available was a King Suite, which meant one less bed than the room we paid for. Because the first room was so awful we didn't have a choice but definitely feel like a discount should have been offered as we now had to configure sleeping arrangements with one less Queen bed. The pool on Friday night was so packed that you couldn't even fit in the jacuzzi area. There were 2 traveling ball teams and they were so loud with different speakers and were yelling and roughhousing. We were scared one of our young kids would get hurt so we eneded up going back to the room. No one from the hotel was monitoring the fact that there were obviously more people in the hotub than should have been for safety purposes and no one came out to tell the other guests to turn down their music (with profanity--this was at like 7pm mind you, not super late night) or to tell them to stop running and diving into the pool (which clearly had many no diving signs posted). The breakfast on Saturday and Sunday was fine. The staff was nice and the food was adequate but identical each day. ICE agents EVERYWHERE! Lots of unmarked vans in lot.
