The only small request is for curtains to darker the bedrooms. It is hard to take a nap when the rooms are so bright during the day. We would stay there again! Thank you, Marie!
We booked this for a short weekend (less than 48 hr) Friday to Sunday in April. There were only a few interior photos at the time and booking apps do not allow you to know location and it listed home and community pool so we assumed a small house in a neighborhood. We were unaware that it was a mobile home in a mobile home park which was our first surprise. We arrived and found there to be undisclosed security camera out front and back and duct tape over the light switches inside indicating not to turn them off. When we arrived the house smelled very strongly of cooked food like bacon and made my mom a little sick to her stomach but we were able to clear it out with opening the windows. The house was clean. Other than the wifi there were no instructions and the coffee maker just shot water out when you closed the lid and rushed through the pot making extremely thin weak coffee. We used a couple cheap towels near my dog to keep it neat and the host tried to charge me 90 to replace them. They were undamaged and just needed to be washed. Mainstays is a cheap Walmart brand so 10 to repIace. I was told after we left there were dog towels in the closet I could have used but again, how would I know without any instructions? No check out instructions so we just cleaned dishes and tidied up the place. More photos may have been added since our stay but we found the listing to be deceitful from what we were expecting. Just be aware of the place you are staying if you choose to book.
Unfortunately this location is not the family-friendly option that the listing describes. While some may find that this location meets their expectations, it should be clear to all guests that this is a trailer in a trailer park. We felt very unsafe in the neighborhood, and did not feel safe enough to leave our vehicle to even check on the property. We ended up getting a hotel to ensure our familyâs safety. Unfortunately, there was no photo of the outside of the location at the time, which shouldâve been my first red flag. Additionally, just before our arrival, the host messaged us saying that the AC could not be lowered below 77 or 76. They assured us that it was in good working order as long as the air conditioning was not adjusted. If we were to adjust it to our comfort to account for the high of 98 degrees that day, then it would no longer work. When we addressed our concern with this, the host assured us that it was good weather this weekend, even though it was nearing triple digits. Some people may feel comfortable with this temperature, but we did not (especially with an infant). When paying a premium, you expect to feel safe and comfortable. Unfortunately that was not the case at this location, and the host did not see any reason to accommodate for those basic needs or to correct the inaccurate listing.
