'I was not able to check in, and the front bell did not work. I attempted to message the staff through Expedia, text, and phone call and did not receive any reply.'

'The host was very pleasant and quite thorough in explaining on the nuances of the property. Other guests were quiet although I was only there the one night while visiting family. The room and other amenities were clean. There are pretty gardens throughout the property as well. Note that there is only the bottom sheet and comforter on the bed and no top sheet, in addition although there are california shutters on the lower part of the window, but the 5 am sun lights the room up in the morning...

'I was in town for an Alaskan cruise with my uncle. I had booked (and paid extra for) the bigger room with the sofa bed. I received instructions for after hours check-in, which had me assigned to room #1. When I showed up at 11:45pm and attempted to enter my room, it was locked. I was finally able to get the owner’s son’s attention at 12:10am only to be told that they had given my room to someone else. 'My room was huge and the bathroom was also a great size. I had everything I needed including a large TV, kettle and a fan/air con unit. The property is in a very nice area which is quiet and also very safe for solo travellers. It was an easy walk to shops and restaurants as well as the river trails.'

'This is a difficult review to write as the host could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The accommodations were clean but run down and spartan at best. We booked this property as it was near to the airport and we had an early flight the following morning - this was really the only redeeming thing about the property and it’s location. Had the nightly rate been $100 or so I would be writing a completely different review but $460 for barely passable is immoral. Again, the host was...
