'It was very difficult to find the place. My taxi driver dropped me off a few blocks away. The police took me to the wrong place. They just need to put a big sign on the street to find it. The manager was very helpful once I found it. It was very reasonably priced for the area.'

'Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast. There are barking dogs in the neighbourhood that might affect your night sleep. Room keys need to be left to the reception in the morning for the cleaners to use so it might be of inconvenience when you plan your day.'

Er was een verbouwing ernaast dus geluidsoverlast, daarnaast overlast van mieren in de kamer, slechte WiFi in de kamer, leuke nette personeel. Ontbijt 6 euro persoon is best duur en simpel. Supermarkt is niet om de hoek. '

'The unique thing about this property is that Gert and Marlene treat everyone as individuals and you soon feel part of the family. They have really taken on board the Mauritian way and that translates into a really relaxed vibe. Wonderful food and a great night's sleep! Highly recommend if you want an authentic experience that is a stone's throw from a paradise beach!'

'For some their mistake they didn’t find my reservation. Very aggressive mood. I had to call to make their mood change. They gave a room working toilette, got with no a/c. Very stressing. Other cons: - wifi is weak, - big coackroaches flying, - old building needs refurbishment, - kitchen with dangerous gas cylinder (reccomend to not use).'

'1st night no hot water. Geyser didn’t work. Aircons don’t work. Cockroaches in room. No soaps, shampoo, etc. They don’t accept cards and only told me this when I wanted to settle my bill the night prior to check out. The owner insisted on me walking almost 2km to go withdraw cash at 9pm. Which was a major inconvenience. I will never stay there again. NEVER!!!'

'Villa Alizee is probably the best and friendliest place we have stayed in the 4weeks we have spent on this island so far. We were made extremely welcome on our arrival. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished and we had a lovely patio overlooking the pool. The bed was very comfortable. Tea and coffee was available at all times. Breakfasts were made personally to order as were the evening meals. We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. Our hire-car was kept secure in a large on-site compound....

'Very spacious with all essential amenities. Quiet road within five minutes walking distance from the beach. There is an evening restaurant nearby but we didn't eat there as we had a rental car and ate out at Grand Baie which is not too far. We felt quite safe as each floor has a locked door access to the main stairs. The apartment is also alarmed which made us feel safe to leave belongings in the apartment.
