In 1062, the Normans freed it from Arab domination, and Ruggero d'Altavilla, head of the Norman military expedition against the Saracens, proclaimed Troina the first capital of the County of Sicily.
The Villa is an hour from the main airport of Catania Vincenzo Bellini, and about 30 minutes from the majestic Volcano Etna. This is the place you are looking and waiting for if relax and cleansing your mind is what you are aiming for. You will experience the good, fresh and home made Italian food while surrounded by the valley in full bloom. This country house is owned by a local family and, while you will enjoy your vacation there, you will be able to feel home and not in a cold place without caracter and personality.
