My 10 year old daughter and I got into Haneda airport in the morning , so we had a few hours before we could actually check in. After getting off the limousine airport bus which is the cheapest way to get to and from the airport with 2 large suitcases and a couple carry on luggage., I was grateful for the hotel staff to take our luggage into a luggage storage area. We went exploring and found several restaurants on the main level and basement, a couple convenience stores and an annex that leads you to the Tokyo Government Building. In the basement area of our hotel, We grabbed lunch at this Indian restaurant and the staff spoke good English, I was even was offered more naan since we ordered the butter chicken combo with naan/rice plus lasse drink. Around 2:00 PM, we checked into our room. Japan's hotels are small and ceilings are low, so keep that in mind. I managed to store our huge luggages and carry on in the tight space. There is a tub with shower head, high tech toilet. The tv only had Asian channels and news from BBC, plus another an American one too. In the lobby, there are free samples of lotions, toothbrush kits, face masks, etc that are replenished frequently. I highly recommend the bath powder after a long day's walk plus the relaxing foot pads that you put on the soles of your feet. You can even put them on your aching back or your calves. There are laundry facilites on site but I did not use them. Breakfast at the hotel's cafe, adequate and cheap.
