We enjoyed having you stay with us. The Topaz suite is done in Oriental decor and may seem a bit darker with Oriental Mystery! All of our suites are different and unique so some are very light and airy. The bath in the Topaz is private to that suite and is a standard tub/shower combination with toilet and sink. We have a guest refrigerator in the library and a guest microwave on the first floor. We hope to see you again!

I am sorry you were not completely satisfied Lynda as we work very hard to please our guests. You visited for two nights and did not tell us there was anything you did not care for or we would have tried to correct it. This is the first time anyone has said the Opal beds were creaky, but we will certainly check it out. We have Zebra blinds on every window which can be adjusted to allow maximum light or very little. But the Blue and white decor of this suite does give a light, airy appearance which many love. Most Bed and Breakfasts do not offer menu service. In fact I have never seen one that does. However, we always have fresh fruit salad, yogurts, bread for toasting and cereals as well as our homemade dishes. There is always a pastry dish, an egg entree, ham or sausage juices, coffee and tea. We also will always make special dishes to accommodate diet restrictions and allergies. We get great reviews on our breakfast offerings.I am also happy that you were able to enjoy two rocket launchs during your stay with us. I wish you happy travels in the future.

I am sorry you chose to rate us a 2 as you did not actually stay with us. You knowingly booked a third floor suite in Our historic building knowing there was no elevatorYour relative called furious saying you could not manage our “extremely steep stairs”. Our stairs are standard pitch with hand railsBecause she then indicated that you had mobility issues I offered to split your party of 4 adults and 2 children into 2 suites with one suite on the first floor, at our expenseThat generous offer was refused i wish you happy travels in the future

I am glad that you enjoyed the great breakfast and loved our staff. WE work very hard to keep the Casa clean and updated while retaining the historical aspects of the building. My husband and I have temporarily located our office space in a corner of the bar to make it easy to greet guests. We are working on moving that to another space!

I recall your recent visit and I remember that you were unhappy that we did not serve a breakfast buffet, but I do not recall any other complaints. Your comments are simply not true and very misleading. We did serve a breakfast buffet pre-covid, but started serving directly to the table during covid and most guests prefer it that way, so we have continued. The food that was served plated was the exact same entree selections that would have been on a buffet, had we done it that way. You are still permitted to ask for more and we are happy to serve it. Our breakfasts always include a homemade pastry dish, an egg dish, fresh fruit salad, ham or sausage, a selection of breads for toasting, cereals, coffee , teas, juice. We get a lot of reviews which mention how delicious the breakfasts are.I'm sorry you did not agree. To say that our B and B is messy, dirty or in a bad area is simply not true. I am not sure why you chose to leave these comments, but I hope other guests will rely on the more accurate portrayals from other past guests.

Thank you for taking the time to review the Casa Coquina. I am glad there were many things you liked and enjoyed at the Casa, but I am sorry you were not entirely satisfied. We will check the bed in your suite. Most of our mattresses are very firm, but some a bit softer to match the variety of guest tastes. Had we known, while you were here, we could have moved you to another suite. All of our TV's are 27" or larger. The one in your suite is 32". Our gardens are a profusion of native plants and cultivated flowers. Both the grounds and the decor are much loved by most guests. I wish you happy travels in the future
