« We were looking for a place central to BR, Hammond, and Donaldsonville and the Benton properties are perfect. Convenient to get to, but far enough off the beaten path to be super quiet and cozy. The house is super cute, clean, ceiling fans in every room, and did not smell overpoweringly of air freshener as many Vrbos tend to do. « We were playing in Hammond,LA for a ball tournament. It was very nice. Much more comfortable to stay in than a hotel room. Very clean and it was as advertised. »

« The Villa was not clean long black hairs and dust everywhere dead bugs around baseboards. Stove top has a film of grease and dust. We never use it. Both bathrooms only had 1 1/2 rolls of tissue for 5 days for three adults. We had to buy some. Dryer was dirty We did not feel comfortable in the place. »

« Queen beds and twin beds were lumpy, cheap mattresses. Only one bed side table in bedroom with no lamp, had to move a no switch half broke lamp with no way to turn off except unscrewing the bulb to the bedroom. There was another no switch non working lamp occupying space in the living area too. The toilet flange sat up above the flooring, so had to put a piece of cardboard under front lip to keep it from rocking. 2 of the three smoke detectors were awol. Overall I’d say the owner is satisfied...

« The host was great and responsive, however the units just need some TLC. One unit had not been cleaned. It smelled of cigarette smoke and one of the bed’s linens had not been washed. Cleaning services came out to replace the sheets within 30 minutes, so that was good. But the smoke smell was bad enough that I went to Walmart to buy cleaning supplies and fabric febreeze to make it through the night. The other unit we stayed in did not have any odors but could have used a cleaning as well. »

« The Kitchen was clean and the property was pet freindly. The only thing the bathroom showers should of been a little cleaner and the towel rack was broken in one of bathroom, also the couch was stained. »

« We are always returning customers to these little chateaus and have never had trouble. This time, the bedding hadn’t been washed and had pet hair all over both couches. The cups on the counter had spider webs on them and the floors hadn’t been swept or mopped. The power went out at 10:30am and didn’t come back on until 8:30pm. « Above average lodging in Tickfaw.The good:1. Close to Hammond, where our event was located. Great location, secluded from the rest of the area.2. Everything was clean, beds were neat and towels were ready. Furniture was nice and in great condition.3. Wifi was fast and easy to setup.
