'We have never been treated so well at a hotel. The staff could not have been more accommodating. Everyone we spoke with went out of their way to ensure our stay was incredible. We especially enjoyed chatting with Emma at breakfast and Crystal and Ruby in the evenings. Thank you, Seaton House for making our first trip to Scotland memorable. If you are considering a trip to St. Andrew’s, Seaton House should be your first hotel choice.'

'The rooms at No1 are always amazing: clean, comfortable, aesthetically nice, and very conveniently located. This would have been a 5*, but unfortunately we got the attic room, which involved MANY stairs up. Given my mother's age and mobility, this negatively impacted the enjoyment of our stay. If stairs matter, proactively ask about which room you are getting before you book.'

'Excellent location, lovely and cosy hotel, across the beach for a cold water swim in the morning, and walk over the road to the Old Course, and a short walk into town to see everything. Can't ask for more than that. '

'The receptionist couldn't have been any more helpful, even climbing the stairs to the top floor despite being 6 months pregnant. Room was beautiful and very comfortable. Bar staff were lovely.'

'We found all staff very friendly and accomodating. It is an older style hotel with carpets and larger rooms which was nice. The restaurant sports bar had terrific food and a breakfast was offered with stay with hot food choices.'

'This was my second time at the Albany, and I'll be sure to stay here next time I need to travel to St Andrews. The hotel is perfect for a single traveller: small and friendly, plenty of character, and a delicious, home-cooked breakfast to start off the day.'

'Had a lot more hope for this property. First they were not happy we booked though Expedia and not through them. Second the first room was damaged with a broken bed frame. Went directly to front desk to fix as soon as got to the room. Took a while to fix that with no apology. Got a new room. Some staff friendly and some not. First thing that strikes you is the stains on the carpet and dirty hallways that need cleaning. Room didn't have enough towels for 2 people. They did give us one extra...

'This characterful and unique property was just as pictured in an ideal setting and very convenient for St Andrews which is approx 4 miles away. Each room is completely self contained - so no access to, or need for, communal rooms. Breakfast is provided in your own kitchen and contains a wide variety of options. Our room was vast and offered access directly onto the well maintained grounds. Being so self contained it would have been ideal for those wishing to bring their dog but unfortunately the...

'A beautifully maintained boutique hotel. Spotlessly clean, with friendly staff and a virtual concierge in the room. Check in and out was easy. An app explains local amenities. Public transport is outside. There are several good quality local cafes and shops nearby. Room is fresh, with a fridge and shower that work perfectly.
