Colter Cabin - Cabane en rondins classique avec vue sur le grand ranch

  • Ceci est la cabane en rondins classique (avec une nouvelle cuisine!) que vous cherchiez. Situé à Driggs, Idaho - 45 miles de Jackson Hole et 97 miles de Yellowstone. Peut accueillir 2 adultes dans un lit queen, et une autre chambre a un lit de repos double et un autre matelas double pour le sol. Nommé par Men's Journal «la meilleure petite ville d'Amérique».

    Parfait pour un couple ou une petite famille, retraite d'artiste / écrivain, lune de miel, observation d'oiseaux, randonnée, kayak, ski, pêche ou tout simplement profiter de l'air frais.

    Colter Cabin est situé sur 7 hectares entourés de ranchs et de trembles. Vues du domaine skiable de Grand Targhee et de Grand Tetons depuis le pont avant. 25 minutes en voiture de Grand Targhee pour le grand ski de poudreuse et 65 minutes en voiture sur le col pour skier à Jackson Hole. Ski de fond et raquette par la porte d'entrée ou sur de nombreux sentiers damés à proximité.

    Grand kayak sur les rivières Teton et Snake et VTT dans les montagnes Big Hole. Pêche à la mouche à Leigh Creek, Teton River et Henry's Fork. En sortant de chez vous dans le Jedediah Smith Wilderness. Belle Leigh Creek à distance de marche. Équitation et golf disponibles à 5 min. une façon. La ville chérie de Driggs avec de jolis restaurants et boutiques est à 7 miles en voiture.

    Jackson Hole (50 minutes en voiture) regorge de galeries d'art, de boutiques, de musées, de restaurants, d'excursions en bateau sur le serpent, de ski de fond et de ski alpin. Les aéroports d'Idaho Falls et de Jackson sont tous deux à 75 minutes. Le parc national de Yellowstone est à 100 miles au nord - entrez à West Yellowstone. Island Park et Henry's Fork, une zone de pêche à la mouche de renommée mondiale, sont à 40 minutes au nord.

This property was as advertised. The Colter Cabin was extremely clean and the location was outstanding. Views of the Teton Mountains were beautiful and the horses practically in the back yard were inspiring. Our stay was relaxing and a convenient hub for our planned activities. Exceeded our expectations!!

The Cabin is in a great location, my family and I were able to enjoy Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park using the West Entrance, and Idaho Falls while staying here. The cabin made our trip so much better.

Very nice and secluded cabin with beautiful views. Close enough to local restaurants and grocery stores. Plenty of local places to hike and explore if you don’t feel like making a trip over the mountain pass to access the national parks. The cabin itself was clean, warm, and cozy. Would highly recommend.

1st time out west

Stayed here while visiting the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. The cabin was great! Clean, quiet, and had all the amenities we needed. The only problem was its location in regards to the parks. 1.5 hour drive to Yellowstone and 1 hour drive to Jackson and the Tetons.

Truly outstanding property!

This is a one-of-a-kind property bear beautiful Driggs, Idaho. If you are skiing at Grand Targhee this is the perfect spot to be within 30 minutes of the resort, but in a very private setting. Ginger, the host, was great. Kitchen is perfectly stocked, bathrooms are great and the cabin is amazing!

Serenity Now!!

This cabin should be named Serenity Now!! It was the most PEACEFUL, quiet, and beautiful place I have ever stayed. Nestled on many acres of farm-land with a view of the Tetons and Mountains all around, this was a dream! If you want peace, tranquility, and to get away from it all with a ton of outdoor adventure close by then this is THE PLACE!

Great location with spectacular views. The only draw back was there was no tv option and we had to use our own streaming passwords if we wanted to watch any thing. The remotes were very complicated to use. After a long day sightseeing or early in the morning it would have been nice to have tv. Unfortunately? Based on this, this rental would not be an option in the future.

Nice cabin

It is a secluded very cute cabin! Things were well stocked. Sunset views over the ranch were awesome. There are 12-15 horses in the backyard (neighboring ranch) that are very fun to watch at all times of day! The drive to GTNP, Teton Village, and Jackson goes quick and is beautiful.

Little Peace of Heaven

Can't say enough about how peaceful this cabin is. We were able to travel to both Yellowstone and Tetons national Park. The road closure requires some extra drive time but the drive was absolutely beautiful. Both parks are stunning. That being said the best part of our stay was the evening sunsets on the porch at the cabin. The birds songs were the only music we needed along with the sound of the wind blowing through the trees which sounded like the ocean. The sunsets are God's masterpieces each night giving us a glimpse of heaven. I've never seen sunsets like the ones of the cabin before in my life. Another bonus was the bed was incredibly comfortable. The mattress was just perfect for my bad back. The owner could not be more responsive. She was very caring about everything regarding our stay.

A Haven Set Among Beauty

My husband and I were thrilled when we arrived at this wonderful cabin. It was just as pictured and described (do not look at the Google picture taken 15 years ago!). It was surrounded by gorgeous aspen trees and wild flowers. The front porch has a cozy place to sit so see the morning sun, or the rising moon. The back porch and upper balcony (off the master suite) overlook the textured pasture with the beautiful horses grazing and frolicking, and seating is provided. I liked talking to them and when I played my Dean Martin crooner music, they looked up and seemed to like it. The sunset was breath taking, and on the evenings we were home, we sat out there and gazed at the majesty. The instructions for the house were very helpful, and several "things to do" brochures were provided. The cabin was well supplied with linens, towels, and washcloths. It was nice to have a washer and dryer to do a couple of small loads so we could take clean clothes home. We highly recommend this enchanting cabin. Of course the fact that it is fairly close to Jackson Hole, The Grand Teton National Park, and Yellowstone, not to mention all there is to do closer to "home", just made it even better. It will be one of my "happy places" forever!

Wonderful Private Cabin

My son and I stayed 7 nights at this wonderful and private cabin flanked by pasture land and a view of the Grand Tetons. The cabin has amazing sunset views from both of the porches (one off of each bedroom). The porches overlook pastures with a dozen horses that graze and play throughout the day. We also saw a few deer on the property during the evenings. There is a family of foxes that lives in a woodpile down the road and come out around dusk. All the modern conveniences (KitchenAid appliances, pots/pans/etc, big TV w/ Apple TV, washer/dryer, and great water pressure - - which is nice after a long day exploring). Very private and down a well-maintained gravel road. It was 28 degrees the first two nights we were there and the big fireplace and ample seasoned wood delivered beautifully. (There's heat, too, but using the fireplace was way more fun!) Parking is simple (large gravel area in front of garage which is in front of the actual cabin) and check-in was a breeze. There are several hiking options in the area including some trails into the west side of the Tetons (trailheads about 15 minute drive from cabin). Grocery, dining, supplies are just a 15 minute drive away in Driggs. Wonderful stay and a great basecamp for Grand Teton adventures. With the Teton Pass out of commission, it was about 2 hours...but the drive is very scenic and the summer days are very long so there is plenty of time to head out to the Tetons in the morning and get back before dark! Wonderful!
