I brought an 80 pound dog-- the beautiful grounds allowed so many places to walk, and there were stations with bags and areas just for the dogs to take care of their business. The room was large, with a real wood fireplace, a large tile kitchen area with plenty of space, even barstools for sitting. There was a nice table and chair area outside the room just for me, and a back patio with a sliding glass door and outdoor seating in the back. When I checked in, there were warm cookies and a hot nacho bar. The breakfast is the best I've had anywhere, and I am well travelled. It was a traditional New Mexico breakfast, everything homemade, scrambled eggs, potatoes, roast peppers and onions, green chile, beans, even tamales. I a vegetarian, so I don't remember if there was meat--more than likely there was, but if not, who could miss it? The food was served from those steaming silver service sets caterers use. There were ceramic plates, nice silverware, and plenty of hot coffee with tea options. To think this was included! If you are passing through Taos for the night, and you want the authentic New Mexico experience, stay here!
