Position centrale,très bon petit déjeuner,chambre assez simple,nettoyage de chambre vers 15:30 après-midi (jamais vu ça dans les autres hôtels),piscine avec l’eau chauffée,accueil à l’arrivée pas trop aimable. Malgré les petits désagrément je conseille cette hôtel.

Très bon rapport qualité prix
C'est un ancien pallas avec beaucoup de charme. Le personnel est accueillant. Le parking est inclus dans le parc de l'hôtel. Le petit déjeuner est parfait avec beaucoup de choix

Holidays in Taormina
Nice stay at the Splendid Hotel Taormina. The hotel is near the city center, at 3 min walks from the Porta Messina, very convenient! We enjoyed the swimming pool after hot summer days and its great view on the Ionian Sea. Careful if you come by car, the parking is 20€ per day and far from the hotel (you need to drive 10min and take the tunnel to arrive to the Lumbi Parking, then come back to the hotel by bus). In the morning, a disturbing cleaning service.

This property was fantastic! The view and small terrace off our room were amazing! If you feel comfortable driving to the property taking advantage of the valet parking is definitely worth it. Also, the staff were very accommodating and helpful. I wish I could have stayed longer!

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and were very impressed with the hotel, especially for the price we paid! However, we were traveling in March which is considered the off season. Upon walking into the lobby we noticed right away how clean and fresh it smelt! We were blown away by our well renovated room with a view of the Mediteranean sea. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. The included breakfast was delicious as well. The hotel is conveniently located and is walking distance from many restaurants and stores. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

Ok for what we paid.
Overall ok for what we paid, but would have been very disappointed if we had paid full price/peak season rates. We booked a last minute off season deal and probably got the worst room in the hotel. We had a window in the room, but it opened up to a wall and it was situated next to the hotel ventilation, so a constant noise when the window was open. It felt/smelt a bit like you were in a basement room. Bed/pillow was so so. Breakfast was good for Italian standards, served at the 4th floor, so it was a really nice view.

Location is terrific, pool has amazing views & bar and snacks. A beautiful property, we did not receipt the room we had requested however I chose not to try to change rooms as we were at the end of our trip. Request a room 2nd floor and up, our 1st floor room was right on the stairs to go to the pool and we had people looking right in our room if the curtains were open and it was the only window… otherwise a nice hotel on the outskirts in a very busy city.

Great, but with teething problems
A great seemingly brand-new place with a fine restaurant and good location. Two quibbles though: 1) The breakfast set-up needs to be improved--the buffet is placed in an area that's too small. 2) The elevators are overburdened as guests and the excellent housekeeping staff have to compete for them. Hopefully these issued will soon be addressed

A pochi passi da corso Umberto (porta Messina). Valet Parking a pagamento 15€, colazione buona e con ottima scelta, piscina adeguata (meglio di mattina in quanto l’esposizione è soleggiata). Ottimo bar per freschi cocktail bordo vasca.

I enjoyed everything about it , I just didn’t like that they didn’t have curtains long enough or wide enough to cover the sunlight so at 6 am it was bright in the room and it made it hard to sleep in.
