'Hostal Rio Amazonas is in een leuk oud koloniaal gebouw met charme. Het heeft een gezellige , kleine patio waar je kunt ontbijten etc. De staf is heel aardig en behulpzaam. De ligging is handig om de stad te verkennen. Het ligt aan een drukke weg met dag en nacht veel voorbijrazend verkeer. Er zijn gelukkig wel dubbele ramen waardoor je weinig last hebt van het verkeerslawaai of vraag om een kamer, die niet aan de straat ligt. Verwacht alleen geen moderne luxe, ook gaan airco's. 'Staff, although speaking Spanish only, was helpful and communicated throughout the check in process. Location was very good, near restaurants and minimarkets, as well as a Metro station, which provided ready access to sightseeing spots. The Cristobel Hill was 30 minutes away, and from there, one could take the gondola.'

'A cool, quaint little hotel nestled in a real neighborhood of cafes, bakeries, and shops. It was a few minutes walk to the historic downtown and all it offers. This was a nice change from the faceless sterile hotel chains.'
