Assigned parking was really close and convenient, and it was handy to have the code for the door. We loved making the quick walk up the hill to get coffee, gelato, and burgers across the street and basic groceries at Tahoma Market (<5 minutes). We also walked to the beach at Sugar Pine Point to rent kayaks!
My husband and I along with our adult son spent several days here. Itâs a wonderful location, right on the water. We enjoyed being able to walk across the street for dinner and gelato. We were there during a heat wave and management brought two fans right away which made sleeping more comfortable. Yes the place is dated but the location makes up for it! While there were crowds at the beach, it was manageable and never loud in the condo. Would definitely stay here again.
The property is perfect for a relaxing stay on the lake. Walk across the street to great food and the Tahoma Market is also walkable. Been coming to Waters Edge for decades. Best location. Condo is very relaxing. Will come again. Just wish VRBO didnât gouge fees.
*Difficult check-in. No advance instructions. Had to search for a # to call to get an email sent to us. *We walked in to a dryer in operation. It made us feel like we were intruding or that someone else was in the room. It was a load of towels, which we had to run through an additional dryer cycle.*Maintenance guy walked for no reason without knocking. He changed our access code and didn't tell us. Called Mgmt office, no response for hours. *Known internet connectivity issues and common power outages posted in welcome book but not advertised in advance. Several in our party needed to work remotely from time-to-time. It would have been beneficial to know. I get why it wasn't advertised, we might have booked elsewhere, but it's not cool to keep that information from potential guests.*No pool key to be found anywhere.*"Private Beach" was not private at all. People were constantly crowded outside our door. We had hoped for quiet and relaxing, but we were constantly on edge because of all the people literally in our face. The only quiet time was early in the morning. * The place was worn, but clean. * Unfortunately, the towels and bedding were damp. The comforters and sheets literally soaked through our clothes when we sat on the bed. It was impossible to sleep in a wet bed. Similarly, the folded towels were all damp on the inside. * The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash that were provided would have been a nice gesture, except the body wash was filled with water. *
Lakefront condo was perfect for our family of 4 to walk out to the dock to watch the sunrise and sunset as well as get in the water from the small rocky beach. We found boat and kayak rentals less than 2 miles down the road and kept them for the few days we were there for ease. There was a great pizza shop, coffee shop and store within a block or so of the condo.
The 2 bedrooms fit our family perfectly and the condo had all the amenities to make meal prep easy.
The place was very comfortable, just a bit dated in the decor and carpet and there were a few cobwebs in the corners, but we spent most our time outdoors so it didn't bother us.
We had an amazing time for a long weekend and was better than expected! The views are wonderful and we almost didnât even try to leave the whole time we stayed. We had a little issue with the key pad but the Guest Services were really great and accommodating. Keeping our fingers crossed to visit/stay again in the future!
It was a nice stay. The code entering the door did not work at the first time try but it got resolved by online assistant pretty quickly. The location is convenient with beautiful view.
In all my years, I have never stayed closer to the lake. What a comfortable, bright place literally on the shore of Tahoe. The end of the driveway to the designated parking space was a bit icy the night we arrived, but it was better navigating in the daylight. Be advised in winter, you definately need all wheel drive and healthy tires.
We had a great time here, and are considering plans for next fall--we saw less than 20 people over the 4 days because it wasn't peak season, and finished the stay with a bear walking past the sliding glass door. Truly restful!
Loved the proximity to the lake. Fun to meet and talk with other visitors on the beach front. Welcome managers were great and called us enroute to the property the day of check in. The actual property manager of Water's Edge was helpful and walked the area frequently. Very enjoyable weeks stay.
