'Hotel rooms/lodges are spread in a big garden. It is good quality but to expensive. Problem is you don't have much choice if you want quality in Thekkady. Food is good. Staff in reastaurant a bit unfriendly. (cooks are good and friendly) You have a nice swimmingpool and a bar with big Pool table. Most amazing thing was in January just after sunrise thousand of FOX bats (1 meter big) are flying low over the trees. Sit at swiming pool have a beer and watch the sky. 'The best part is the friendly and professional staff members. Also the property is gorgeous! We had our own bungalow and loved the privacy. Pool is big and lots of greenery on prem. Lovely stay! Also walking distance from bus depot to go into Periyar National Forest.'

'A good property close to main road through Thekkady but removed enough to be lovely and quiet. Beautiful grounds, pool was clean there was some play equipment. The restaurant served a good buffet for dinner and breakfast, with both Indian and western dishes. We chose to eat the Indian food it was served hot and was very tasty. '

In all of our travels in India, this was the only hotel that had a contract laundry service with washer and dryer, so our clothes were promised to be washed, dried and ironed within a day'

'We enjoyed our stay at this resort. It’s a wonderful place with great staff and excellent customer service. I would like to mention Vijisha, Jibin, Anagha and Madhan who attended us and made our stay very enjoyable. They ensured everything was great and took care of every little detail. 'We only stayed here for 1 day but the range of food at breakfast was good, hotel and facilities were clean and the hotel staff were very accommodating. They even organised an earlier breakfast as we needed to check out early to travel the following day which was really appreciated.'

'Really nice place. Friendly staff! Kumily is great for exploring Periyar. The hotel is 10-15 min walk from the entry point into Periyar national park. Clean and spacious room. No hot water in the shower head. However, there was a tap with hot water in knee-height and a plastic bucket. So it was possible to get a hot shower using that. '
