Pet-friendly so I had a great stay at this mountain cabin with my pup and would definitely come back. The sunsets alone make this place worth it, absolutely beautiful views that you can just sit and take in every evening. The area is perfect for getting outdoors, with some really nice waterfall hikes nearby, and highly recommend making the Preachers Rock at Woody Gap hike...it’s a must-see!The location is also ideal for exploring nearby towns. Dahlonega is charming and Shenanigans Irish Restaurant was a fun stop with great food. Helen is always worth visiting too, Dog Gone Coffee was a standout for us. Keep in mind that mountain miles take a lot longer than normal with slower speeds going up and down mountain sides could mean 30 miles equaling an hour drive but still worth it. Watch out for deer playing frogger on your journey especially on those dark backroads. The cabin itself was clean and comfortable. The only small downside was that the beds were on the stiffer side, likely because they’re newer, but I adjusted quickly to that. The road up to the cabin is a steep gravel incline, so just be prepared to give your vehicle a little extra gas getting up there.Loved seeing a few deer around the property, it added to the peaceful mountain feel. And for anyone wondering, we didn’t see any bears or snakes during the stay.Overall, a really enjoyable trip being the getaway break we all need. Would recommend!
