We had an AMAZING time at this campground! It was so cool to have the kayaks and canoes available for us to use! Great place for our family to get together! We had a wonderful weekend!
Everything from the location to the staff (particularly Erik) far exceeded my expectations!! The only reason I would ever be hesitant to recommend this place is because then it will be harder to book in the future!
Everything was fantastic about our stay! Martha was so helpful to get us outfitted for kayaking, made suggestions for things to do in town, and helped out with anything we needed. The firepit/outdoor area was so cozy and the view was beautiful! We will definitely be staying here again, we had an absolute blast!
Ping pong, Disc Golf, Lake Pepin on-site...lots of space for kids to run around and pet friendly. We really enjoyed it.
Suggest earplugs to combat noise at night like trains, heater going on/off, and other nearby sleepers.
Martha is a great host and some really cool towns to visit nearby.
We had a great time staying in the Lionâs Den.
Three sisters and Dad to celebrate his 80th birthday.
The highlight other than all the wonderful conversation, was the amazing sunset.
One of my top ten in MN !!
The Lionâs Den is adorable and great location by the Lake.
So nice to have the option to use all the kayaks or a canoe.
Martha was a fantastic host checking on us and very quick to reply to my many requests and questions.
Firewood, water available, small grill and the cabin has a microwave, small frig and full size coffee maker!
Small walk to the bathroom, but, very clean.
We had a great time and made memories with our Dad.
You canât beat the location to be so close to Lake Pepin and have so much space to explore.
So many wonderful outdoor activities to choose from ; swimming , boating, volleyball , basketball , fishing and lots more .
Charming little towns near by and the drive from the twin cities is an hour and very scenic
The view from our cabin of Lake Pepin was outstanding .
We enjoyed our evening campfire ritual and our charming cabin so very much .
We canât wait to return
We loved our time at Camp Pepin! We have two small children (3 and 4) and this was our first official cabin family vacation and it turned out amazing. The kids loved jumping off the dock, my husband and I loved the kayaks and paddle boards and we even took our first canoe ride as a family. Having all the water activities and life jackets included and ready for us when we got there was so nice. The beach was nice and big and we even found our first agate! (Thank you Erik for helping us with that!) The kids loved the access to the activity shed will endless balls and sports equipment. Another treat having that included.
Martha was such a joy to talk with and so helpful with any questions we had. It was also very reassuring to see all the precautions taken for COVID so we could feel safe vacationing at this time.
The cabin was just as expected and having the AC unit was nice but we didn't even have to use it! We brought a little fold out table which worked really well to have extra space to prepare food. I was a bit worried about the walk to the bathroom but it was closer than I expected and it was nice having the whole bathroom to ourselves! The location of the cabin being close to the beach was a treat and we even had a couple of eagles in the tree next to us chatting most days.
We are so happy to have been able to experience Camp Pepin and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to escape and enjoy some down time and the great outdoors!
We had a great time celebrating my sister's bachelorette party in the Lion's Den. The cabin was right by the beach and was equipped with much more than we expected (mini fridge, coffee maker + filters, an ac unit, hand sanitizer, etc). You could tell that Martha and Erik took care in thinking through people's needs. Erik was the on-site staff member while we were there and he was SO HELPFUL! He brought us a cooler of water and ice each morning and even went out of his way to find us string and sharpies when we realized last minute we hadn't packed then along. I was pleased to find that the fire pit came with a cooking grate topper. I was also so excited about how comfortable the mattresses on the bunk beds were..being someone who really just likes to sleep in my own bed. Overall, I would highly recommend this cabin to families and friends alike!
My family and my friends enjoyed the stay in Camp Pepin a friendly place, a beautiful and wonderful view with many activities for all ages. We got a nice time together!
If you want to re-live the nostalgia of summer camp- this is the perfect time and place to do it! The team at Camp Pepin (Martha and Erik) were awesome providing us with water, ice, firewood, canoes etc. We were pleasantly surprised that there was a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and ac in our cabin! You can basically just arrive and have everything you need to jump into the water! It was a great way to stay safe during COVID and to be able to have a relaxing and fun vacation.
We enjoyed our Stay at Camp Pepin. Beds were comfy and windows out to the Lake were great. Fridge and picnic tables were a plus. Martha was very helpful. We stayed in the Lions Den cabin.
Nos gustó mucho nuestra estancia y los encargados son muy atentos pero si necesitan un poco mås de atención en la limpieza de las cabañas compensando por las alfombras sucias
We didnât want to leave this sweet camper cabin with its beautiful setting on the shores of Lake Pepin! It is situated within YMCA Camp Pepin, with camp amenities available. We spent our time agate and shell hunting on the beach, watching and listening to eagles and many other birds, enjoying all the sailboats and barges going by. We took a drive into the rolling hills of western Wisconsin then returned to listen to the waves and sit by our fire in our private setting. This is a camper cabin with electricity, we found bringing our coffee maker, crock pot and electric griddle useful in our cooking. A grill was provided by the camp that we used as well. The bunks are all single but we found a blow up mattress fits easily inside the cabin. We would definitely return to this beautiful spot!
