The Location:
Not only does this property have a true ski in ski out location, steps to the access trail, but you ski to the base on any easy green trail called “Right O Way”. Come and go as you please. Get out there early, come in for lunch and then head back out for more skiing. This is how a ski vacation is meant to be. However, there is more to the FPX Legacy Lodge location than the ski in ski out access. If your group includes people who are not skiing, you can hop on the free shuttle to the heart of the base area for shopping, dining, ice skating, free concerts, and more. The location provides an incredible view of the national forest and ski slopes. Bonus: On New Years Eve, and on other occasions such as Winter Carnival week in early February, there are fireworks displays, torchlight ski parades, and drone shows which are launched from the slopes, right above this property. You have a great view of these events!

The Property:
In addition to its 6 bedrooms, true ski in ski out location, and stunning “front row” ski area views, the FPX Legacy Lodge has great quality throughout and lots of amenities to enjoy. Your private hot tub is on the lower back deck. The Storm Meadows Club Amenities are steps away, and include locker rooms with showers & saunas, a fitness center, a heated pool & hot tub area, and a tennis/pickle court. Parking is easy. You'll have an attached, heated 2 car garage plus 2 more reserved, covered, outdoor parking spaces.

While the upper and lower levels are split into an east and west wing, the Great Room stretches the entire width of the lodge's main, entry level. Built for entertaining, it features a floor to ceiling fireplace in the central living area, with the kitchen and dining area on one side, and a large bar / kitchenette on the other side. With 2 story vaulted ceilings and huge windows framing jaw dropping views, this area is one very special place for your "apres ski" beverages and appetizers. Step outside onto the upper-level wraparound deck and take in the panoramic ski area & national forest views. When the weather is nice, you can dine outside or just relax and unwind. This main level also includes a powder room and a foyer with two storage rooms for your gear.

Bedrooms 1, 2, 3, and 6 are on the upper level. In the upper west wing, you'll find the primary bedroom with dramatic views of the ski area. This large room includes a King size bed, a loveseat by the fireplace & HDTV, plus an ensuite bathroom. Across the hall are bedrooms two and three, along with a shared bathroom. These two bedrooms are configured perfectly for couples or a family, with a King in one bedroom and a Queen plus a Twin in the other. The upper level's east wing is separate from the west wing, accessed via a separate staircase from the great room. This sixth bedroom includes a 2 Twin daybed with trundle, a private bathroom, and also functions as excellent home office.

The lower level features a large rec room with ski lockers. Access to the slopes and hot tub is through this room. Here you can store all your ski things, dry out your ski boots with the boot warmer, relax on the sleeper sofa, watch TV, or play games at the table. This rec room a great place for kids to hang out, be noisy and have fun. With a full bathroom and laundry room right outside the door, this rec room can also function as a seventh bedroom. Over on the east wing of the lower level, you'll find Bedrooms 4 and 5. Bedroom 4 has a Queen-size bed and deck access. Bedroom 5 has 2 Double (Full) size beds in a bunk bed configuration. Yet another full bathroom just across the hall from them, and this one is quite large, with a double sink vanity and a separate room for the toilet, shower and bathtub.

Arrival, Accessibility, and Parking:
We're here to support you before, during, and after your stay. We'll provide you with arrival instructions, local information, and answer any questions you might have. Accessing this property requires zero stairs. You can walk (or roll) right into the main level. Inside, one flight of stairs is required to reach the upper or lower levels. Reserved, private parking is provided for up to 4 vehicles. There is some additional parking available out front, on a first come first served basis. Campers and RVs are prohibited. Please contact us before booking if you will have a trailer. 4WD recommendation: The roads which lead to and from this property are generally well maintained. However, the road is winding and comes up the hill to this location. Keep in mind that Steamboat's Champagne powder snow is often measured in feet, and can pile up quicker than plows can keep up with. So, when traveling during snow and winter weather conditions, 4 Wheel Drive or All Wheel Drive and tires with good tread are recommended.

** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required.

** Video & Noise Monitoring - Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home. Cameras are present to ensure the property remains secure and safe, as well as to ensure that guests are honest and upfront about their planned use of the property. If you plan to bring more people than you've indicated, more dogs than indicated, to host a party or event, or do not intend to respect neighbors or the value and quality of the property, then this is not the place for you, and you should not book the property. For normal, respectful groups, we are sorry that these statements and measures are necessary. Security cameras and noise monitoring devices are an example and demonstration that the property's owners are taking steps to ensure the home remains available for rental, and in good condition, for your benefit.
