Goed hotel met uitstekende spavoorzieningen
Ruim opgezet hotel gelegen aan de rand van de stad; voor gasten die niet willen lopen heeft het hotel overdag een gratis shuttle naar en van het busstation in St Helier. Verder stopt er een bus voor de deur. Het hotel heeft een mooi binnenzwembad en een spa. De badkamers kunnen wel een opkapbeurt gebruiken, ook met het oog op de veiligheid; de douche bevindt zich in het bad en de uit/instap vergroot de kans op glijpartijen, ook omdat er geen handgrepen zijn. De service van het personeel laat te wensen over. Bij aankomst leek de receptioniste de Engelse taal niet geheel machtig. Veel horecapersoneel lijkt afkomstig uit Zuid- of Oost-Europa. Na het bestellen van een - eenvoudig - ontbijt duurde het minstens drie kwartier voordat dit werd geserveerd.

Friendly staff, lovely hotel.
We had a twin standard room so wasn't expecting too much, but we had a lovely view into town with the sea in the distance. The bath over the shower was adequate, the toiletries were plentiful and the room was small but perfectly acceptable. The food was great, plenty to choose from at breakfast and dinner was great value at around £33. The spa was amazing! Already looking at when we can return. Thank you.

Good Hotel
Very comfortable hotel, great spa and pool facilities. Staff very friendly.and helpful. Situated 10 minute walk to town, but very good public transport links.

Transport from the hotel to the town centre was only one way. As the guests were middle aged or older, this could be inconvenient. The main problem was the site of the hotel. Its position is on a VERY steep gradient and there are at least 30-40 sapping steps. Great going down. Going up, not so much. Finally all the little "extras" like £5.00 tray charge for room service. Its not as if the food isnt expensive as it is. Wont stay there again!!!!

A lovely hotel near St Helier town
This is a lovely hotel with a great pool/spa! The restaurant was good for lunch and dinner although not as good as some of the places around - but that’s more a reflection of how great the food scene is in Jersey rather than a criticism of the hotel! Breakfast was reasonably basic and could be improved with little tweaks eg pots of tea and coffee rather than queuing at the coffee machine. Good location - we walked into st Helier every day and takes 20 mins ish. A lovely stay and the gardens and spa etc are the crowning jewel for this hotel!

Great find - would stay again.
Lovely hotel. Friendly and attentive staff. Spa and gym access included in stay. Spa facilities very relaxing. Good breakfast selection. Rooms were clean with comfortable bed.

Bon plan sur Jersey
Belle hôtel, avec un super espace aquatique. Proche du centre de St Helier (15-20min à pied). Arrêt de bus également au pied de l'hotel. Manque un réfrigérateur dans la chambre.

Lovely hotel - spacious and light in the reception area. Beautiful downstairs carpets and spiral staircase. We enjoyed the spa facilities and the breakfast- although queuing for the coffee machine was rather vexing. Pots of coffee / tea and larger cups would vastly improve the experience. Room had dual aspect which was nice and was clean and bright. Convenient location for the town and we would certainly visit again.

A good quality 4 star hotel with friendly staff and excellent restaurant. Room was pretty standard,with very traditional decor. Bed was super confortable, bathroom clean and tidy, if a little dated. Very quiet area, although walls not entirely soundproof (could hear people moving around at times). Overall I'd stay here again, and definately come here for dinner.

Hotel was very nice. Helpful staff and very clean. Location not so great. A bit of a walk out of town and not much nearby in terms of restaurants and bars. Breakfast was fairly basic. The pool and gym facilities are great, but be aware that these are open to the public as well and the clientele left a lot to be desired. Also, if you have teens, be aware that the gym is over 18s only. This was an annoyance for us as it was the main reason we chose this hotel, but it was my own fault for not checking on the hotel website.

The hotel is very dated and seems to be struggling. There was no fridge in our room, the tea/coffee selection was very poor (black tea only, if we wanted green on mint tea we had to pick tea bags up at the breakfast from the restaurant), lift to the rooms was jumpy, and the overall interior design was tired to say the least… However - the pool and spa areas are very nice, staff was very friendly and professional, and the breakfast was decent. It’s a beautiful building but in a serious need of investment and renovation.

A great destination in Jersey
Booked the hotel a while back to go to my very good friends wedding anniversary. We have been to Jersey before and stayed in other hotels but though we would try the H-D-France. Lovely hotel, very good breakfast and service, excellent Spa and swimming pool. Due to our summer weather the rooms were cold. Location was fine just took a while getting used to the layout. Would go back there again. It turns out that my wife's uncle stayed in this hotel in the 60's on their Honeymoon! Fortunate coincidence

Great hotel in a great location
Lovely hotel in a great location! The free shuttle bus into town was a nice touch. The breakfast was lovely too - my wife and I visited for our mini-moon and we were very well taken care of. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and warm. The spa facilities on site were also wonderful, we spent a good few hours there relaxing after touring around the island. If you're looking for a hotel in St Hellier I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Hotel De France.
