« Where do I begin? This home was absolutely beautiful, pristine, everything was brand spanking new and done with such care and thought. The view of the lake was simply gorgeous, and we had so many wonderful memories made … a sunset “cruise” with our kayaks, watching a family of loons (6 babies!) and geese visit our beach, a night of s’mores around the fire, the moon reflecting off the water, and stargazing on the dock. « It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin.The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter. « A beautiful cottage set in a wooded camp on Portage Lake. We kayaked and canoed. Very rustic, but super comfortable. Washer/dryer was a bonus! Hiked up Hedgehog Mountain, drove on to Fort Kent. Grilled some fish and relaxed on the wonderful covered patio. »

« Everything from check in to check out was super easy. First thing you notice is how unbelievably clean and nice everything is. Certainly one of the best places we've stayed. Highly recommend. »

« Stay was good. The loacation is very nice and it worked very well for where we needed to be. The place could use some minor fixing up and maybe some fresh exterior painting. We wrapped our work up there a day early but paid for the full 11 days. Wish there could have been a way to get reimbursed for thate last day that we didn't stay. »

« We loved not having to share any space with others and the accommodations were very clean. We had a fully operable kitchen including a washer and dryer. It was wonderful not to worry about finding a laundromat. The only thing we had to supply was groceries! Snacks were waiting for us. :-} Thank you »
