'We had a lovely time at Hemlock Haven! We spent several days mining for Herkimer diamonds and the cabin was an excellent place to relax after spending the day outside. It is fairly quiet, cozy, and pretty easy to drive to. The hosts had a few extra touches to make it even more welcoming. Definitely recommend for a little R&R!!'

'I had a last minute family emergency and needed a place to stay, quick! This Caroga Lake location was available and it worked out wonderfully. The location was great and the size was perfect. 'House is in a nice location. The pictures were photoshopped on the listing to make the wood appear to be a more modern wood tone than it actually is. Not a huge deal but definitely something I noticed upon arrival. The bath towels provided by the house were bleach stained. No AC in bedrooms. Plant overgrowth on back deck. 'Cabin is rustic, steep steps to loft which contains the beds and raw wood roofing. (cannot stand in the loft). Also, water from faucets is for showering and doing dishes only, you must use the dispenser water for drinking and cooking. Had a problem with septic and draining just before leaving but owner came to fix issue when notified. Lastly, the cabin is up the hill (owners cabin at bottom of hill at lakeside), but you have access to the lake, canoes, kayaks, etc.'
