Very rustic retreat with lots of walking
I loved the cabin but not the walk for unloading. The fire pit was so full of ashes I wasn’t able to start a fire in there. When I asked if they had a shovel they said yes that was on our list to be done. I waited and they never came back so I used the snow shovel and dug it out best I could. . The short walk to the beach wasn’t as short as I expected so I never made it there. Road into Camp was treacherous and a bit dangerous. Today when I left they were grading it so that helped. I was hoping for some internet but they said it wasn’t for guests so not sure how I was supposed to get ahold of people or Verbo to ask questions. If I was younger I would love it here more. That being said I did enjoy myself and left feeling at peace. The few people I encountered were very nice. Thanks for the stay.

So quiet, peaceful and well supplied cabin! Cozy and sweet. Loved the little library of Sherlock Holmes and xkcd books. Excellent thermostat for the cabin and for the outhouse. Great walk to the beaches too. Thank you!

Relaxing
The cabin was exactly as described. It was clean and cozy. The trails were nice. The beach was fantastic, definitely a bonus. The cabin has just enough to be comfortable, but not overdone. The bed was comfy and the gas fireplace kept us very warm. I hope to come back again. I recommend this to anyone looking to getaway to basics.

Peaceful little cabin in the woods! We didn't hear a vehicle during our entire stay. Beautiful walk on trail to the beach on lake superior! Close to amnicon state park where we visited before checking in. Would stay again!

Beautiful little cabin in the woods
It was a lovely experience. The cabin is set back from the main property just enough to have some privacy, but still have access to showers and firewood in just a few minutes walking. I really enjoyed the cabin itself, with just enough furniture and kitchen items, without it being too crowded.

Can’t give hosts credit for the weather but it made the hiking on their trails lovely. Outhouse was close enough to cabin to make it very convenient. Had Sunset cabin farthest from entrance and appreciated the privacy.

Lovely retreat
A wonderful little cabin for one (or two) on the wooded grounds of a camp complex. The cabin had a path that led directly to the Lake Trail and a short walk to a beach on Lake Superior. Also great views from above.

Bare bones but very charming.
Exactly as advertised. Cozy 1 room cabin, clean and well kept outhouse (but still distinctly an outhouse), fire pit, and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. Also a reasonable driving distance from Duluth and Two Harbors. The perfect place for a short getaway.

I want everyone to know about this special place, I want nobody to know about this special place.
I want to give this place ten stars for being exactly what I needed. Seclusion, privacy, a hike to the beautiful lakeshore, where I was the only one. What I love about this place, the inspiration and beauty and isolation I felt is why I am conflicted about giving it the rating it deserves. Because then everyone will want to go there and it won't be as private or as easy to book. It was everything I needed. If you are looking for a pristine, bug-free environment with bell-hops, valet parking and room service, you are definitely looking at the wrong place. This is for the person who wants to be alone in a tiny cabin, or snuggle in with a loved one. It's for the person who wants to get some exercise to see the beach or to get their stuff to the cabin. It's earthy, and rustic and quaint, and of course, nature is all around. I shared part of my walk with a big old porcupine, who didn't seem to mind me. The deer were almost tame, and the birds comforted me with their sounds. It was exactly what I needed, to write and read and rest and heal. To breathe fresh air, eat the living foods I brought, and to become inspired by the stillness of my internal voice. Nobody to talk to. I made a fire each night and rested well with the door open, fresh air pouring in, and the sound of the distant waves lulling me to sleep. I will definitely return.

A peaceful getaway
The Sunset cabin was cozy and warm during my February stay. It was cozy and warm. A perfect retreat from the crazy world we live in. The trails were easy to navigate and provided lovely morning walks. It is only a couple miles away from Amnicon Falls State Park, so an easy drive to experience even more beautiful walking/snowshoe trails. Thank you so much for this. I feel rested and rejuvenated!

My husband and I and our two dogs had a great little get away. It was so nice to have long walks on the beach, reading by the gas stove, and cozy campfires. We discovered this place last fall and have enjoyed it in fall and winter seasons so far. Hannah is quick to respond to any needs you may have. We can’t wait to return!

This place was awesome. The staff was very friendly, and easy to talk with. The cabin was beautiful and secluded which is exactly what I was looking for. It was a ten minute walk to Lake Superior and had a beautiful beach. I will be back with family. I really enjoyed the time I had. There.

Surrounded by beautiful nature
A true get away and immersion in natural beauty. Surrounded on all four sides by trees, tall grasses and daisies. Birds singing throughout the day. A deer chomping away ten feet from our window. We loved this stay and felt the tensions of the modern man made world fall away. Beautiful walk to Lake Superior and private fire pit with benches nearby. Our cottage had all we needed, very comfortable and clean. Lovely stay.

Simple Beauty
This place gave my young son his first taste of wilderness and me my first taste of peace since the pandemic. Words can’t really describe how much that means to me. Accommodations are simple—just the basics— but it was enough. Located in a gorgeous wooded area it is only a short walk to Lake Superior. I can’t wait to make this a yearly tradition. Beautiful getaway
The property was a great secluded winter getaway. Lots of trails for winter hiking, a fire ring for a campfire and a gas fireplace in the cabin to keep you warm. The cabin was very clean. The outhouse was clean as well and it’s so nice that there is a heater in there! Lovely weekend stay! Would recommend.

A beautiful retreat
This is my first time using vrbo. I was tossing around a few different cabins within an our of Duluth and chose this one. Brad was very welcoming right away, and I had the whole place to myself so that added to the serenity. The trail to the lake is great and it’s amazing to have a whole beach to yourself. A wonderful stay overall!

This property was one of the best I have found for weekend getaway, granted it was in the winter, but the cabins that they provide are wonderful, small warm and cozy. Wonderful hiking trails that take you all the way down to the lake. Beautiful sights. Will definitely be coming here again to check it out in the summer!!

Christmas in the forest....
So quaint to see the cabins all lit up in little white lights and the cabin was decorated inside with winter decorations. It just added another piece of hominess to this already wonderful place. I will be back again!!
