We stayed five nights in this very well equipped, warm, cosy house with a view to Snaefell and the sea. We enjoyed the surroundings, autumn colours, the dramatic skies, the basalt formations along the shore, the quiet nights and the morning that the clouds around Mt. Snaefell lifted and the vulcano revealed itself in its full glory.
The house is spacious, and easily accommodate five adults. Furniture is of high quality and there is a good sound system. Ample kitchen essentials are available, so washing the dishes can be delayed to a later moment, for example. In this remote area the agreement that the renters clean the house, wash the bed linen and towels at the end of their stay is understandable, and seems to work fine. It needs some planning, however, if one likes to leave early in the morning.
The stairs to the bedrooms upstairs is indeed steep and requires some coordination. For us it was no problem, but for less mobile persons it might be. The beds are of good quality, and we slept like logs after our full days outdoors.
The owners were very friendly and responded very well to our queries.
We would recommend this holiday house to anyone and would definitely book this house a next time!
