The property was great. Easy to access from the interstate. Well organized. Had everything needed. Great communication with the property manager - answered all my questions before and after booking. We were able to bring our two family dogs with us - the main reason we booked this property.
The description is on point, and more than satisfied our needs for our stay. Since we come to the area often, we'll most likely be booking this listing again. Love the pet friendliness of the place. It is modernized but I loved the old family homestead feel you can see and hear throughout the house. Every place we needed to go was within a 5 to 10 minute drive.
Overall this is a nice place to stay and if you need 3 bedrooms and/or if you have pets, this is a very good value. The house was clean and just as described. The reason for less than five stars overall is that the bathroom towels are stained from use and pretty worn out in general. One towel had a 3" circle that is thread bare. We ran to the store and bought some towels that we are happy to bring home, and used them after the first day. On a 95 degree day, the air conditioner takes about an hour and a half to cool one degree. The doors had been closed for a couple of hours and we weren't using any appliances but it hadn't cooled any, so I texted Brand. Brad suggested getting the box fan out of the bedroom and putting by the register to help cool the house. This did help. Just be aware that you will need to be patient with the air conditioning. We found the sheets to be super scratchy, but that is probably personal preference. We just slept on top of the comforter and it was fine.
Overall the house was awesome. Everyone had a bedroom which was great for us. The back porch provided storage for our cooler and for my son's goalie mask dryer.
The living room was nice but the kitchen is where we really spent what time we had at the house, with being in Sioux City for a hockey camp.
The bedrooms were spacious as well with each having their own closet. They also had 2 sets of blinds on them that helped provide privacy, which was super nice and thoughtful.
All in all i would definitely recommend staying here and i would even stay here again.
We moved from Sgt Bluff three years ago. We still have friends and family in the area. We also had my mother along with our 2 dogs with us. The home worked great, dont let the outside deceive you - they've really made the inside comfy. There is a step between kitchen and living room that can get ya. Stocked well especially for rate. We stayed for 10 days.
Brad is always great! Wouldnât think of going anywhere else. His properties are well managed & he is very hospitable. This was our 3 time with him & plan on more. Goes out of his way to make you feel at home. Thank you Brad
This property was VERY clean and comfortable. Only one bathroom and being the putz I was I really need to find it. Could not find it (behind dining room table, LOL), Very quiet. I was worried about the car wash next door so I stayed in the bedroom facing it but had no problems at all. And I am a light sleeper. Refrigerator door, for some reason, sometimes doesn't seal well but if you keep an eye on it it will stay closed. New refrigerator too! Very convenient modern washer and dryer and they provide soaps etc. Didn't need the washer but did fluff up some clothes in the dryer. SOOO convenient to Sioux City! Met with family at several locations over the few days and was never more than 10 minutes from any place they wanted to meet! Anyway, really enjoyed the property, Was very well kept with modern everything in an older house. Did go down in the basement for a second when searching for bathroom, even clean down there. It will be my go to place whenever visiting the Sioux City area for any reason! Thank you!
Christmas trip in subzero temperature, ice and snow. Lovely house that felt like a home away from home. Clean and quiet. I had to reach out to the owners to thank them for the Christmas tree đ, it was a nice touch.
First time to the Sioux City area - this rental appealed to us immediately as itâs only 15 mins from my mother-in-lawâs and we were traveling with our dog. Easy off-street parking behind the house, clearly cleaned ahead of our arrival, and more room than we needed. Happy overall!
Brad was a fantastic host even before I rented the house. I was planning a trip with my elderly parents to visit my son away for college at BriarCliff. I wanted to make sure the furniture would work for them. He responded quickly and accurately to my questions. House was clean and welcoming. I ended up traveling alone but felt safe and comfortable. It was so much nicer and less expensive than staying in a hotel. Bonus, I had a kitchen to make a home cooked meal for my son and his roommate. I plan on making several more trips to the area and plan on staying at the White House again!
Great house, clean, everything you could ever need and want for a VRBO. Brad was super helpful with communication and lots of space, a very comfortable stay! Thank you!
The host, Brad, was very responsive and quick to show up when we needed assistance.
New mattresses would be beneficial, because the ones there were a soft and little lumpy.
There was a lot of construction happening around the house. It was very loud and dusty.
Our travel accommodation needs were met at a great price.
