While a little far to walk to the beach for our particular group, we thought the property was fantastic and had everything ⊠kayaks for the canal, beach bikes to shorten the trip into town or to the beach, floats for the pool, pods for the Nespresso, a basket of beach towels by the door and plenty of laundry detergent. The stay was fantastic I would Highly recommend this location or return.
This gem is gorgeous! The location is great with a peaceful and serene setting within walking distance to Siesta Key Village or the beach. The place sparkled it was so clean, the beds were comfortable, and the home was very well outfitted with most everything we needed. Our only small disappointment was the off-site/shared hot tub that was not available during our stay, as that was an important feature for us during the home selection process. (There is, however, a jacuzzi tub in the primary bedroom as listed.). Otherwise, it's a dream. The owner is very responsive and accommodating, and the caretaker is easily accessible and happy to assist as well. I traveled as part of a group of a large group on a girls weekend, and everyone had plenty of space to hang together or spread out for peace and quiet as well as ample space to get ready for the day/evening. We all agree - we'd return again in a heartbeat.
The house was well equipped with lots of extras. We loved the swimming pool, the ping pong table, the kayaks and the bikes.
The host and Richie the caretaker were available to answer questions.
If you are looking for the best beaches, wide array of dining and the nicest home on SK, this is the place for you. Plenty of room, great pool and amenities and short scenic trip to intercostal w your boat. Dolphins in canal everyday. Amazing sunsets and tranquility.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was beautiful, had everything we needed, and the host was very detailed and responsive. Would stay here again.
Our family had the best stay at this property. The decor was a divine aesthetic - very modern and every couch, bed, chair was exceptionally comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the amenities were plentiful. Lots of fluffy towels and excellent shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The pool was the big hit for our group - we floated for days admiring the incredible vistas of the canal and the beautiful architecture of the house. By far, the best thing about our vacation was Ritchie who was our ever accommodating caretaker - our vacation hero! He came by each morning with a fresh pile of towels and was at the ready whenever we had a question or needed something. Jenni was awesome and responded by text or phone call when the power went out and had it fixed within minutes (not a house issue but a neighborhood issue). We hope to return again and again to this spot! It's a treasure.
Quiet location, easy access to intercoastal waterway. Little odd adjacent neighboring property but not in a bad way. Locals living next door keep to themselves and are friendly but property is need of severe upkeep and repair and probably is in violation of local codes.
We had a great time at this house. The owner and property manager were very helpful in resolving any issues. The canal was fun for fishing, the pool was a great temperature, and there was plenty of seating. The kitchen was very well stocked. The downstairs bathroom barn door did have a small gap, so we just closed the bedroom door when anyone was in there for privacy. The kids really enjoyed the ping pong table. I would suggest some light cotton linens for the beds in warm weather rather than duvets, but everything was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully supplied. Thanks for a great week!
This house was absolutely perfect for our vacation. It is stocked with absolutely everything you need and more. The house is in a very quiet area of Siesta Key but still close to the beach and shops. The pool area is so beautiful we spent more time there than at the beach!
Spacious, comfortable and very attractive house affording privacy for all. Lovely views of the canal from most rooms. Best stocked kitchen ever! Amenities galore! Pictures & house details are exactly as stated. Easily accessible host who responded immediately with helpful information. Want to return!
We feel extremely fortunate that we found this beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood on Siesta Key, It is described accurately in the listing. Very clean and well stocked with comfortable beds and nice views. I love walking on the incomparable Siesta Key beach with its soft, cool sand, which we did daily. It was hard to pull ourselves away from the property since we were enjoying the heated pool, kayaks, bicycles, and ping pong table. A screened cage covers the pool and deck, so was a pleasure to sit outside for relaxing and meals without worrying about bugs flying around our food.. We also appreciated that the home has a washer and dryer; that makes packing is so much easier. We didnât use the large gas grill or the fire pit, so weâll have to go back to take advantage of those amenities as well.
Jenni was an amazing and very responsive host. We look forward to returning to this property again and again!
beautiful & quiet Spanish-style home with hygge decor
Although this rental home is located on Siesta Key, it felt like we were staying at a beautiful home in Malibu. I would describe the home as being decorated in the hygge style, with light terra-cotta tiles and linen curtains and bedding in monochrome colors. It was a refreshing change from many homes that we've rented in Sarasota over the years, decorated with wicker furniture and palm trees and other beach kitsch that feel like you're stepping into a 1980's time capsule. The home is located at the end of a dead end street and is closed off with a gate so it feels like your own private retreat. It's located on the canal but what is again unusual is that the property sits on a point so that you have a nice view from the living room straight down the canal, and you're not simply staring at the backyard of the house across from you like you usually are. On the outside, the house is a beautiful Spanish style home which you see more often on St. Armand's Key than you do around Siesta and that just added to the appeal for us. The primary bedroom upstairs has a balcony in the beautiful Spanish style which is screened in so you can leave the glass doors open and enjoy it.
The house was perfectly located within easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants of Siesta Key Village (0.6 miles according to google maps, a nice walk straight down Avenida De Mayo which is a tree-lined residential street with a sidewalk). We elected to eat out or have food delivered for most of our time there but the kitchen was as well stocked as any VRBO property that we've visited and there was a grill on the patio. Whenever we had a question about the property, the owner responded right away and was great to work with to make sure we enjoyed our stay to the max. The neighborhood was very quiet which we appreciated, no duplexes, condos, or rowdy rental units nearby. It was actually quieter than when we've stayed on the north end of Longboat Key which is directly on the flight path to the Sarasota Airport. A walk to the nearest beach access point is only a little farther than walking to the Village (for example, Public Beach Access 5 at 222 Beach Road). If you're walking from the house to the main Siesta beach, the walk is longer but there are several beach access points along the way. We were convinced that we had made the best decision to stay on Siesta, and I'd highly recommend this property to anyone considering a visit to this area.
