The second night was better. Only a two night stay for an event.
Housekeeping on Saturday did not replace complimentary tea and coffee bin not emptied and beds not straightened up after 1st night.
It's basic no thrills hotel. Also lift out of order. »

« The room was fine, not exceptional, for me, as I was only staying for 6 nights. I hadn't booked breakfast as it was only offered on a Sunday, but there is a "Sandwich Stop" attached to the hotel in the car park. Parking was adequate, but trying to exit onto the busy main road was a nightmare, as the hedges were so overgrown and hadn't been trimmed, so it was impossible to see traffic approaching from both directions. « Room clean and looked good but was stifling. No adjustment on the thermostat. Portable air cooler in the wardrobe. Switched on terrible smell. Checked inside water hopper was covered in stinking slime. No hot water to the sink.
Terrible attitude of a couple of staff members.
Breakfast was a sham. Tiny side plates for breakfast. Asked for a second coffee and was told they had run out and weren't making any more. This was 9.15 am. Barman tried adding on extra drinks.

« What a deceptively lovely place to stay. The exterior hides the warmth and friendliness inside.
Beautifully up to date and simply designed interior. Easy to navigate and super clean.
Access to the rooms can be up the fire escape stairs from the rear car park, best for us, or through the bar. And we took advantage of the cutlery and plates offered for our takeaway. Brilliant!
