Welcome to Sometimes Creek Cabins and the Motor Vessel Nautical Nights, which is an authentic 1979 Grand Banks that is 34 feet long. You will walk through the woods and up a few steps to your "Boat Dock", where you will board through the port side door into the main salon. There you will find a wifi smart TV, gas stove and oven, refrigerator, sink, microwave and all the utensils and dishes needed to make all your meals aboard! While in the salon, you will also find the main dinette with seating for 4, and of course the Captains Helm where you can plot your course through the woods!
Forward of the main salon is the forward berth (bedroom) that is down a couple of steps. There are 2 twin size memory foam mattress that make up the V berth bed, as well as storage drawers and a closet for your clothes, and a Head (Bathroom) with a toilet and a shower (no sink).
Back in the main salon, you can head aft (back of the boat!) and down a few steps to the main stateroom (bedroom). There is one full size bed, one twin, a built in desk/vanity table, lots of storage and a Head (bathroom) with a toilet, sink and shower.
The entire interior of the Nautical Nights is teak and left as original as possible.
She is spotlessly clean and appliances are updated to "normal" toilets, sinks, etc..., so no knowledge of boats is required! However, she is Original, so there are low areas (the average headroom is about 6 foot), things to step over, steps up and down, etc... In addition, this is our newest rental, but we have been at this for over 10 years, we are one of the longest running nightly rentals in the Seward area, and have a 4.9 star rating, so we try very hard for a spotlessly clean amazing stay!

Very fun stay! It is quite small/cozy but that's part of the charm when you choose to stay in a boat. Owners are very nice too.

Our family of four had the immense pleasure of taking the Sometimes Creek Cabin's Nautical Nights on her maiden "voyage!" The amount of attention to detail put into this boat, both in the original construction of it and then in all of the little details put in by Jami and Blaine when they restored it, have to be seen to be believed! Whether it was portable mini fans for air circulation in each cabin, custom cut bedding for the smaller cabin, custom blackout curtains for the whole boat, or rugs on all of the floors to keep your feet warm, no detail was spared! This was, hands down, our 5 and 7 year old's favorite place we stayed on our 12 night trip to Alaska, and was the grown ups' favorite as well. Having the freedom to run around and climb all over the boat without needing to worry about them falling into water was such a treat for all of us! If you like unique, "quirky" stays, this is the place for you! If you have mobility issues, it may not be since there are some large/steep steps down into the cabins and some head ducking needed to navigate around the boat. But if you're on the fence, just do it! The location was perfect - less than 10 minutes to Seward, very quiet and private, and far away from the cruise ship crowds. The boat has two bathrooms which are also showers, and everything is amazingly functional. Jami and Blaine could not have been more welcoming and helpful hosts and will be happy to answer any questions. We are truly grateful for our stay here!
