The cosy apartment “Ferienwohnung Ötzi” is part of the old 13th century farmhouse “Untervernatsch”, and is situated in the South Tyrolese hamlet Katharinaberg in the municipality of Schnals on 1.245 m above sea level. The 90 m² apartment consists of a living room with a sofa bed for 2 people, a bedroom with a double bed and 2 single beds as well as one bathroom and is therefore perfect for families of up to 5 people. Additional amenities include Wi-Fi, a washing machine and satellite television. The beautiful shared outdoor area will impress you with amazing panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the valley. Here you can start the day with breakfast or spend the evenings with a glass of wine, while your children can romp around the playground. A supermarket and a bakery can be reached after a 14-minute drive (7.4 km) to Karthaus, a pharmacy is a 17-minute drive (11 km) away, and further shops, cafés and restaurants can be found after a 20-minute drive (14.5 km) to Naturns. A 25-minute drive (15 km) away, the Juval Castle is a popular attraction. The ski resort Kurzras lies a 30-minute drive (20 km) from the property, where you will find a cable car to a glacier skiing area with demanding downhill runs, a toboggan run and cross-country ski tracks, as well as a skiing school offering courses for any level of proficiency. Closeby, there is also a reservoir for nice walks, where owners of a fishing license can purchase a day pass in order to fish in the reservoir. The hiking route “Meraner Höhenweg” is also in the immediate vicinity and leads you across beautiful landscapes and along fantastic views. The city of Merano (Meran), well-known for its spa resorts and architectural beauty, is located a 40-minute drive (30 km) from the farm and also invites you to go shopping or explore the many great restaurants serving local cuisine. South Tyrol’s capital Bolzano (Bozen) lies 58 km (a one-hour drive) from the property.
