The windows that go to the peaks of the roof are nice for letting in light and sunshine. I liked the knotty pine walls. The musty smell never quite went away. The lighting inside is not adequate. I ended up having to move lamps around. The electricity seems outdated. And there was no room smoke detector. The one on top of the fridge didn't work.
Outside is very small and not user friendly
Beds and bedding are nice. Shower is small but pressure ok. Hotel style shampoo etc. bring your own. Didnât spend time in cabin except to sleep, not sure it would have been nice for more
The beds were fantastic. VERY comfortable. The bathroom was open. It has a door, but not really. Take a very close friend and don't get sick. Everyone will hear everything you do in the bathroom. Woodstove was a nice option, but wasn't clear if I could use the wood in the back of property or if I needed to buy wood. So I just passed and used the elctric heat, which works very well. The stove top is funky, to say the least.
We really liked this place, very cozy. Happy to find the place did get nicely warm.
I had asked about firewood, property manager kindly left a several wood logs to use.
Would def come back and recommended to friends.
The kitchen is fantastic and the living/eating areas are comfy. The place was clean, but cobwebby on all the wood panelling, and the carpets could use a deep cleaning or better yet replacement. It smelled musty until we had all the doors open for the afternoon. Be aware there is no A/C and only one fan in the dining area - no fans of any kind in the bedrooms - and as other reviewers have said, little bathroom privacy with the sliding door. If you bring your dog, don't expect to spend time at the local lake. It's all private access.
Smooth check-in process, easy to find, close to Natl Park, cozy and roomy. Things to note: traffic off busy road, living room ceiling fan is noisy. Otherwise...great stay! Would recommend!
