We loved how close we were to uptown Sedona. This studio is tucked into the trees and itâs so cute and quaint. Perfect for our needs. We will be recommending it to all our friends
Patio needed repair. Bed, bedding and towels should be updated. TV was not user friendly. The kitchen was adequate for our needs. Loved the hot tub, and the rustic setting of the unit. Loved access to the commercial district.
We love returning to Sedona, and Zen Studio was a wonderful home! We made good use of the hot tub and liked that we could walk to Uptown locations. Highly recommend this place!
a few minor issues to be aware of prior to booking
We appreciated our stay at the Zen Studio, but had some minor inconveniences: The door does not have a deadbolt or security lock, just a door handle twist lock. There is a large gap under the door, big enough for the mouse we found in the VRBO to come in, which we had to then chase around and out the door. We contacted the host about the mouse and they said they would âlet the owner knowâ and we heard nothing after that, VRBO itself was no help either. We shoved a towel under the door to prevent more critters from coming in. The bed is VERY soft, which works great for a lot of people but not everyone. The studio has an AC swamp cooler in the wall (shown in pictures) as the only cooling system, for which you are instructed by the host to open the windows 6â for it to cool the space at a decent rate. There is not a microwave in the unit, only a toaster oven and an electric portable burner (we should have looked closer at the pictures⊠we thought the toaster oven in pics was a microwave). The pictures are not up to date as there is some different furniture and furnishings now. There was also hair on the bedspread and floor of the bathroom when we arrived, as well as a towel with makeup stains on it. Pleasant surprises: oils diffuser, herbal tea provided, nice new windows, quaint space, no noise issues, tv (we didnât turn it on).
Minus a little miscommunication about the location of the key when we checked in, our stay was flawless. Property was clean and set up as advertised. When we did have an issue finding the key, Skye responded within 30min. There were other guests staying in the adjacent property, they were very nice and respectful as well. Property is in premium location uptown; it is walking distance from a bunch of cute shops and restaurants - We went on a busy high tourist/holiday weekend and traffic was pretty nuts trying to get back uptown after exploring different areas of Sedona (took 30m to drive the final 2 miles during peak hours) but as long as we anticipated that it didnât interfere with our ability to have a relaxing visit. Would stay there again and recommend to family/friends.
My wife and I wanted to get away for a romantic weekend to celebrate our third wedding anniversary. Zen retreat proved to be a perfect launching spot for a relaxing and fun filled adventure. We enjoyed the hot tub every morning which was a real bonus. The studio was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the location on the edge of town and the neighborhood was extremely quiet which was a bonus. Short walk to uptown Sedona was a plus as we were able to walk to dinner two nights without the hassle of fining parking. Overall experience was excellent and we would stay there again if we make it to Sedona in the future.
Would absolutely stay here again! Lodgings were comfortable with lovely views of the red rocks right outside the window. We were provided with everything needed to make fresh, french-press coffee each morning, which helped get our day started so much quicker. The hot tub was a wonderful place to relax at the end of a long day of hiking, with unblocked views of the stars above. Based on other reviews, we thought we may hear neighbors through the shared wall with Desert Retreat, but it was completely quiet throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this property for anyone staying in the area. It was a slightly further drive to popular hikes like the Subway and Bear Mountain on the West end of town, but the proximity to Uptown shops was unbeatable, and the drive to the West end was very easy.
Good location, soft bed, good shower. Fair warning to light sleepers- thin walls (can hear the Desert Retreat people very clearly).
Overall a good spot if youâre out all day explorIng.
Location is perfect and the accommodations worked out perfectly. Host was very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Only regret is I didn't stay longer in Sedona.
The place was small, but cozy and had all we needed. Fresh water, small fridge withe a freezer for ice. Good location, walking distance to the main part of Sedona. We enjoyed our short stay here.
Had a nice romantic bday gwtWY with my spouse. Awesome accomodations. Wasnât able to get the AC working despite directions but managed. Also wasnât so aware hot tub was shared; however wound up being a nice means of meeting people. Host was helpful and the place was perfect for a nice getaway without being far from everything . Definitely a must try!
We came for a short little vacation from the valley. This is a cozy little studio apartment that is blocks away from Main Street. The check in process was seem less and I would recommend this to anyone!
My wife and I wanted a post-Christmas getaway in a picturesque location. Sedona immediately came to mind and we found the ideal place. Our unit was located within an easy 15 minute walk from the heart of Sedona where we found many restaurants and souvenir shops. The unit is ideal for two people. It is cozy, warm, and in a quiet neighborhood with a designated parking space right by the front door. However, the cooking options were limited to a hot plate, toaster oven and an electric kettle.
I would recommend this place for a romantic getaway in a beautiful location.
This spot was exactly what my boyfriend and I needed for a short trip; a comfortable place to sleep and shower! We loved the hot tub after a long day of hiking and the bed was comfortable. Close to town and affordable, so if youâre just looking for a place to sleep, shower and recover, the studio is a great option!
Not a deal breaker at all, but I would note because I read this in other reviews as well; the walls are thin, and you can hear others in different units pretty clearly! Didnât bother us but something good to know.
Enjoyed our short stay at the Zen Studio. Check-in was seamless and for the location just a few minutes' walk from downtown Sedona the price was quite reasonable as well. We thoroughly enjoyed using the hottub which has some decent views! Hosts provide all you need including fresh water which was a plus. Only recommendation if you're a light sleeper is to bring ear plugs in case one of your fellow guests in another room is a noise-maker (had that our first night). Overall, highly recommend!
