But my favorite parts of Sedona are the little known secret places, that you can explore and experience without the crowds. This gem is one of those secret locations. Sedona almost never gets snow, and when it does snow, it rarely sticks. So when a giant snow storm shut down the whole city last winter, we were dying to go out and get some epic snow pictures! Locals refer to this spot as the Birthing Cave. It is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy parts of the city. It is a fairly easy hike to get here, but getting up into the cave is a whole other story! It requires a lot of scrambling, and some serious guts! All way great although a house manual would have been helpful to assist us in navigating some of the house specifics such as hot tub, fire pit and the kitchen faucet. The management was very responsive when we called for help.

This house is amazing! The location is great, it is within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. It is very close to many of the popular trails and things to see in Sedona. The views from virtually every window are spectacular! We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the sunrise over the mountains in the morning and watching the stars at night. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could need. The management company was very nice and quick to respond to our questions. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed Manzanita and would recommend it for anyone visiting Sedona.

The overall home was lovely. Wonderful views and it was clean. When we arrived, there was a very strong pot odor. So very strong and we contacted Porter Mgmt who replied promptly to my call. Then came emails with lots of apologizing and yes it is non smoking, we will discuss issue and get back to you. We opened windows and doors each time we arrived back going out. The worst was the entry level/lower level which contained two bedrooms, bath and laundry room which had the worst odor. This was all communicated to Porter. I also reached out to the host.We continued with emails - questioning when they willl be out. They never came out to investigate. Emails indicated they were discussing the issue, then it was oh we were waiting for you to reply with approval to come out, to we need to do some kind of ozone treatment and no one can be in the home. I had stated that I did not want spraying air fresheners to try and mask it. First night, no resolution. Bottom bedrooms were the worst- especially the one with twin beds. Second day I expected them out. Nope, But we were given the option of checking out two nights early and not be charged for the remaining nights. So instead of them coming out and investigating, it was now our responsibility to find a new place or just deal with it. So much time gets spent investigating homes. I never expected to have to deal with pot smell - going to bed smelling it and waking up to it. Lots more, no room here - extremely dissatisfied.

We all loved and enjoyed Manzanita. My cousins and granddaughter especially loved the views from all the patios. The stars at night were so vivid. We never had to leave to go pick up something, the kitchen was so well stocked.

Enjoyable location

We stayed at this property with our adult children and spouses to celebrate my wife’s retirement. The home is very well equipped for a week long stay and clean. Unbeatable views with the high location in Sedona. The driveway was very steep and a challenge to one of our low clearance vehicles, but we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful house and location

Manzanita is a beautiful house in a beautiful location and was clean and prepared well for guests. There were a couple of minor inconveniences. The kitchen sink faucet, which appeared to be sensor controlled would come on and off randomly and the microwave did not respond to several of the buttons. All in all we had a wonderful stay!

Beautiful Home in perfect location

This was truly a beautiful home with lovely amenities. Every room had works of art as well as comfortable furniture and linens. The home is situated in the hills above town so not surprising visited by unwelcome small animals. We did not see evidence of pest control but there should be at this price point. The home itself was pristine but drywall was inhabited by unwanted visitors in one downstairs bedroom making sleep difficult. The management company was apologetic and arranged for an exterminator but not much could be done in such a short time. I would rent this home again if I could be assured that only invited guests would be present.

I would definitely stay again

The property was exactly as described. Very clean, well stocked kitchen, very close easy walk to shopping and restaurants. The beds are very comfortable. Spectacular views. The maintenance company was disappointing to deal with. It put a bit of a dark cloud on our vacation But we managed to work it out. The property gets five stars! The maintenance company two stars.

Can't say enough good things...

Beginning with a perfect location! Such a lovely home. Absolutely stunning views. Beautifully appointed (the art was swoon-worthy). Comfortable rooms in which to sleep; wonderful common spaces in which to "veg". Loved the back deck and we enjoyed it every evening and morning. The hot tub was used nightly by one of my friends. I hated to leave. And, we will return!

Wow! What a fantastic home! Loved the comfy and beautifully decorated house, the views, walking to town, hiking on the javalina trail that takes off very nearby, stargazing from the hot tub, and time with our family.

Sedona dream.

This home is lovely. My 4 sisters and I loved being surrounded by all the art and decor of this house on top of the stunning views out every window. One thing we would suggest however is having directions on site for using the TV, the fire pit, and the hot tub. We had to call for directions on the fire pit and then enjoyed it once before it ran out of gas. It didn’t work properly after I changed the propane tank. We never did get Netflix on the television working. With three switchers sitting on the buffet a use manual could have been helpful. Regardless, this is a beautiful place to stay and I would rent it again.

A slice of heaven in Sedona

The home (not house) was even lovelier than the photos online. We were in Sedona celebrating my daughter’s 40th bday, and I wanted to make the trip extra special for her. I selected this property for the esthetic and vibe I thought my daughter would love. The home was a huge success! Everyone loved the house - plenty of room to be together or apart, super comfy beds and pillows, amazing views, well equipped kitchen, great location. It was the perfect place to stay and explore Sedona.
