Pool had lots of tiles missing and floor looked like it hasn’t been cleaned
Outdoor recliners were green with mould
Cats used beach front as a toilet
The dinner we had was one of the most expensive (steaks) over cooked and chewy

'The staff could not be nicer, the food was very nice and good value compared to other meals I have had in Samoa. The snorkling off the beach was OK but there was close by options for much better. This was my first open fale experience and it was great as there is no road behind so the only sound was the sea and the bells and singing in the village across the water. My own deck as part of the fale. Clean, shared bathroom and plant filled open roofed shower.'

I felt the Basic Cabin description wasn’t clear it was an outside WC and bathroom (without a door). Cabin itself was definitely basic but clean etc. I didn’t however end up sleeping in the room, as I felt too remote from the main complex and close to the back of house sheds and as a solo traveler I wasn’t feeling safe. Stayed with a friend as no other rooms were available.

'The only thing this hotel has going for it is the shuttle to the airport when we needed at 3 am. If you can travel the 45 minutes into town, RUN, RUN, RUN from this place. The staff was rude, unhelpful and made us feel very unwelcome. When I paid the restaurant bill with US dollars, the exchange they gave me was a rip off. It wasn’t worth the hassle to challenge it. The room had only one bath towel and I had to ask several times to get one for my wife … to say nothing of having no hot water in...
