'Mooi hotel in de bergen. De inrichting met antiek meubilair is smaakvol en komt niet oubollig over. De kamer was groot met prima badkamer. Na een wandeling is de spa (Turks bad, sauna, bubbelbad) ook aangenaam maar een uurtje voor €25 pp vinden we aan de dure kant. Het restaurant biedt voldoende afwisseling voor enkele dagen, een dat is fijn want er is verder niets in de buurt. Veel wandelmogelijkheden in de directe omgeving. Niet alle personeel verstaat Engels.'

'Prima uitvalsbasis, maar het is erg gehorig. Het schuiven van de stoelen in het restaurant (waar het de hele dag bedrijvig is) is erg storend. Zou voor een groot deel opgelost kunnen worden door viltjes onder de stoelen… De akoestiek is vreselijk, maar is verder een gezellige ruimte om iets te drinken. Waar ook veel lokale bewoners komen. '

'Prachtig familiehotel, heerlijk grote schone kamer met goed bed en fijne douche. Ontbijt dik in orde; heerlijke croissants, goeie koffie en verse jus. Uitzicht is adembenemend mooi, heerlijk buiten op het terras drankje genuttigd. Voorts lekker gegeten in het restaurant. Bovenal; erg sympathieke eigenaren en personeel! Vergeet niet de tarta de queso van Estela te proeven, fantastisch! '

'Really attractive and nicely furnished converted old building. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was just about perfect. Garai is a lovely village and has two magnificent restaurants within a 10 minute walk, ideal for the tasting menu with accompanying wines. A little fitness is needed as the walk up to the hotel from the car park is quite strenuous and there are a few flights of stairs if you are in one of the upper rooms. 'It's a very attractive house, solidly built which helps it stay cool during the day. Inside, it is mostly open-plan with just the bathroom and one of the bedrooms separate. The furniture is stylish and the kitchen is quite well fitted out. The location is beautiful and ideal for hikers but it is a bit remote so you will definitely need a car. Once we had made contact via WhatsApp the owners were easy to message. The only other thing to mention is that the property is not the whole house...
