Captain Java's Cottage in beautiful Morro Bay!

An enchanting private cottage, ideal for two. Steps from the sand, whale spouts, sand dollars and sea otters to greet you. Private entrance, King size bed, fireplace and private bath. Outdoor seating area to enjoy ocean sunset views. Small refrigerator, microwave and place settings to make your stay easy and comfortable. Outdoor storage for beach toys, if you would like to bring them. Private washer and dryer.
You are surrounded by fabulous scenery and places to visit, whether walking, biking, horseback riding, surfing, kayaking, paddle-boarding or hiking. Morro Bay's Embarcadero is a relaxed walk from the cottage. For further jaunts, you can get in your car with easy access to major Central Coast attractions, such as the famous Hearst Castle, Paso Robles wine country, Cayucos pier, Cambria's moonstone boardwalk and Montana de Oro.
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo is only 15 minutes by car, so parents can visit children at school and escape back to the coast easily.
We do not allow smoking, children or pets.

OMGosh! What a gem Captain Java’s cottage is. Everything about my stay was pure perfection. How could it be anything but perfection when falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean. This is a beautiful cottage just steps from the beach and the hosts David and Sabine are very gracious and ready to help you and/or answer any questions you might have. Because of the location and the hosts, my husband and I have now stayed here 3 years in a row and are anticipating a return trip very soon. We loved the beachy vibe of the cottage inside and on the large patio. Bed was very comfortable. Lots of amenities too! David and Sabine are great hosts. Very nice and helpful. Morro Bay had tons of sea life - sea otters, pelicans, seals, egrets, long-billed curlews, and much more. Lots of gift shops & restaurants in Morro Bay. Sunsets - gorgeous.

Captain Java’s Cottage was exactly as described. Tucked in a beautiful neighborhood, a short walk to the beach and close to Morro Bay, Cayucos and Cambria. Every detail was thought through by the owners. Lovely decor, comfortable bed, very clean, large patio area for enjoying coffee or watching the sunset.

What a cute and comfortable place this is. Easy access from the highway and literally steps from the beach. The cottage has just enough room. There is a closet on the way to a spacious bathroom and a small table by a front window. We really liked the front porch/deck area which extends the living space. Bonuses: Its very quiet and the owners were very responsive. Lovely place and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
